Our little group is watching several eagle web cams and seeing the hatching of the eggs, the growth of the chicks, and the gentle treatment by both parents who participate in the rearing of their eaglets. To think that one or both parents of a nest may be the ones shot while their chicks die is really sickening. I hope they catch whoever is doing this rotten-to-the- core deed and a stiff penalty is imposed. Thanks, Cher. :(

I used to live in northwest Washington State and the area was an eagle preserve, no one would ever dare to kill an eagle there... they were sacred to the Native Americans and everyone respected and were in awe of them. I used to watch them and couldn't believe I was actually watching ealges dive into the rivers to get salmon it was so awesome!!!!

Yes Jacqueline, they are very special to us Native Americans but for all Americans. This Magnificent Hunter, my Fav, is our Symbol. I hope they catch these Monsters who are breaking the Endangered Species Act Law by doing this and throw them in Prison for a long, long time. We worked and walked and protested hard back in Da Day to Ban DDT because we almost lost them forever.I can still remember. Peace out.

All wild birds are beautiful and I am glad that if this person is caught he will face a charge of $115,000 Plus a year in jail. Why don't we have these laws for our pets ????????? EVERYWHERE
