The U.S. Bureau of Land Management suspended a wild horse roundup in northeast Nevada on Monday after seven animals died of dehydration and another was shot after it broke its leg in a holding pen.

Did we not sign a petition so that people can make sure the round up was done properly? If so that is what helped to halt the roundup. I like how the roundup crew gets a job and orders and leaves the horses without water in cages after miles of rounding up the mustangs. We the human being are the dumbest dumbasses on this earth. Whatever happened to common sense in man. Nice cowboy roundup barf bag round up crew.

There are good ways and bad ways to bring horses out of the wild. This was one of the worst. Too many of the wild horses, mules, the occasional donkey or burro starve because too many are born. Getting captured and given a good home is the goal when it works right that is.

BLM Heathens. This kind of thing needs to be made illegal along with all other animal abuses.

In case you haven't noticed, the BLM is in bed with BP. There is no legitimate reason to remove these icons of the American West. The illegitimate reason is so BP can build it's oil pipeline through these lands. That and the cattlemen hate the wild mustangs and want the public land to graze the cattle at the rate of a few dollars a month. Wake Up People. We have lost our say in this America.

The BLM does nothing, & they horses die. The BLM rounds up the horses, & they die. I would think the BLM could coordinate with non-profit volunteers for alternatives allowing the roundup (IF there has to be one) postponed until the cooler months. This is knucklehead stupid public administration in it's worst form.

The agency was committed to treating the horse humanely! I really would not want to meet their inhumane side! Reminds me of the discussions by Hitler's henchmen of the quickest and cheapest method of killing Jews Gays and the disabled etc, with the same secret actions and grandiose obfuscation of reality! Bureau of pLanned Mismanagement it sure is, run by a cowboy for cowboys and not the ones that ride horses! Perhaps it should be renamed the Bureau of corruption and big oil, ranchers etc, private domains!

The BLM and the corporate cattle ranchers it works for should all be chased down by choppers and held in pens with no water in the sweltering heat for a few hours, just so they'll see what it's like for the mustangs they persecuted.
