Environment  (tags: environment, animals, elephants, corridor, mining, habitat, protection, wildlife )

- 3230 days ago -

Oh wow here we go again the human race still at it! Finding more ways of killing wildlife off & messing with Mother Earth. Mother Earth is so beautiful and she needs our help DESPERATELY! I can't even begin to express the sadness it brings to my heart when I hear these things people are doing to hurt our beautiful wildlife and all Earth encluding our selves. These greedy fools are also killing off the human race as well! It's probably how my daughter got cancer and I had a stroke. All the pollution, etc. you all know what I mean? Yes I signed & sent I will always do what I can. I only wish I could do more. I'll go on a high mountain and scream if there were one here, seriously. However, there are plenty of trees around I can hug and will look crazy to other, but I will in the name of Mother Earth:^) I guess that makes me proudly a tree hugger. Should I anyone here think it would be a good statement?

It is again the greed of man to take what it wants from mother earth in form of minerals and to hang with consequencequences to animals and wildc life. Here we talk about the larger wild life, but have studies been make on incects, bird life, rodents etc, all part of the full biodivercity of the region.

The animal abuse and disrespect for wild life is a world wide epidemic at this point. As humane, civilzed human beings we must acknowledge their right to life and liberty as we feel we are. Learning to live side by side is difficult but it can be, should be and I hope will be accomplished..

Chief Seattle once said: "If all the beasts were gone, man would die from loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beast, happens to the man". I only wish the people creating this destruction could foresee and care about this truth, but it seems the only thing they choose to foresee is the green that will be lining their wallets. We are only one tiny blue planet. How sad that we are making it less significant by decreasing its beautiful diversity.

This is the real reason for terrorism .We go to war with foreign countries and replace their leaders so these people who run these large corporations can come in and rape these countries of their natural resources for profit.

If the operation of a mine titanium threatens an ecosystem as important as that of Cambodia. The problem and its concequences involving the international community. Between Human Rights are the Third Generation Rights. These rights can only be satisfied with the assistance of the entire international community, affecting the global Environments. Therefore also called "People Rights".

Some of the most important items that would required the support of the O:N:U., in science and ecology.
1) Right to international and regional cooperation.
2) Right to sustainable development that preserves the ecosystem as a whole.
3) Right to a healthy environment.
Rich countries are in the situation involved with the decision of Cambodia. Give a heavily subsidized and presevo its ecosystem or leave this country to its fate and destroy it. Who will sell it titanium? It comes down to the monetary resources that will be satisfied with the basic needs of Cambodians. If the operation of a mine threatens an ecosystems.
