These models, designers etc. need to see some videos of animals being skinned alive and the horrible living conditions on fur farms, they are so selfish!

don't play into the complete waste and self indulgence that is fashion. even good people like oprah get sucked into the vortex.

Why aren't women past this? If anything, women should know that barbaric practices end up being anti-female. Or is it just me who sees this trend?

There was a TV commercial that ran a few years ago.
Models strutted onto the runway wearing long fur coats.
Slowly, blood began running form the coats.
Wish they would run it again.
Probably banned, probably offended the senses of fur wearing, empty-headed twits.

Although the choices were a bit confusing and the survey seemed a bit simplistic, it it important to hope that fashion focuses on compassion for animals. If there was a COMPASSION CENTERED FASHION INDUSTRY SHOW which was meant to get people thinking about fur and leather then it would be marvelous.

The fasion industy is slowly, too slowly, but slowly, getting the idea that fur is not the in thing anymore. Too much negativity on it and with Cihina doing its live animal skinning, some of those pictures should be on signs all around the shows. Animals are getting a better deal, finally. It has been a long time coming, but it has been improving daily. Leather items are part of Americana, due to the meat business. I will not stop eating meat as there is also no other purpose for cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc. Things may change more towards vegetarianism in the next few decades, but I seriouly doubt there will never be shortage of meat eaters. Our teeth were just not made that way and neither were alot of our inner working. But animals do not need bo be abused and tortured for any industry. That is just wrong and I am glad all the areas that need to be monitored are getting the undercover videos to make them behave and stop the cruelty. That is unnecessary.

I hope they stop wearing fur when they realized, they are wearing cadavers who didn't have a choice between being alive or being a coat. Shame on humanity's cruelty:(( they should see some of the PETA's videos. According to the scums from hell who do this, if the poor animal is skinned alive the fur peels whole and easier than, if the animals are dead. I am shameful to be human. I just feel life is worthless having to know how cruel some parasites like the fur suppliers can be. It breaks my heart to know that as I am sitting here writing about this horrifying killings.... out there some where this are still happening. I can not wait for judgment day! and I hope China goes to hell because they are one of the main suppliers.

SKINNED ALIVE !!! SKINNED ALIVE !!! CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE THE RIPPING PAIN, THE HORRENDOUS PAIN, THE PAIN BEYOND ENDURANCE PAIN, THE PAIN THAT SCREAMS INTO THE ETHER OF THIS WORLD !! FOR JUST ONE ANIMAL IT IS UNFORGIVABLE, JUST THINK IF WE DID THAT TO NEW BORN BABIES ?? WOULD YOU SKIN A NEW BORN BABY ALIVE ?? THAT IS THE SAME PAIN THESE ANIMALS GO THROUGH, IT IS JUST TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE - FULL STOP.

A quote 'fur coats are worn by beautiful animals and ugly people' - I bought a T shirt years ago with that on it and seemingly nothing has changed. I would like to see the furs these people parade themselves in, grow teeth and claws and rip them to pieces. Wearing fur should be something to be ashamed of - for a time that is how it was viewed. Now the whole barbaric practice has started again with the emergence of a new breed of fashion designer, models and empty headed'celebrities'who care nothing about animals. These vacuous people are are a waste of space.

Noted & voted! The bottom line is that these runway shows during fashion week generate big bucks--and furs are a big money item. Therefore, the designers use them to make as much money as possible. They could care less about the cruelty involved in getting the furs as long as it generates more profit for them. This is sad! They need to be educated about the horrors of these animals being made into fur coats and accessories.

I have often felt that people should be made to watch their fur coats being killed and skinned before they are allowed to purchase it. That way, when you see someone walking down the street in a fur coat or a coat with a fur collar you really know what kind of person they are.
