Family planning is basic health care for women. Access to contraception helps women prevent unintended pregnancy and control the timing and spacing of planned births

There is not just me & you here in our own little private
nook or cranny.......There are seven billion other humans
crawling all over this planet.
Without birth control we soon will face massive riots over
food shortages.

Solution: Just like China.........One child per family.
After awhile you will treasure that one child more than
you ever could having six or a dozen you truly wish
you did not have or even want!!!!!

In this day & age more than two is a crowd.....

Plant & protect Danny's trees for life........

I don't think that a pharmacy should be required to fill prescriptions for birth control (including the morning-after-pill) if the owner of the pharmacy finds that immoral. It would be akin to forcing all OB/GYNs or general surgeons to perform abortions if a patient wanted the procedure, even if the surgeon opposed abortion.

While I'm overwhelmingly pro-birth control, I also recognize that one person's rights end where another's begin. And the government has no right to insist that medical personnel do things that go against their own sense of morality (with the exception of situations such as in an emergency room where a patient's life is in imminent danger - since an ER exists to provide life-saving treatment where delay will sometimes kill.)

At what age should a minor be able to purchase birth control pharmaceuticls or devices?

At what age should a minor be able to purchase "emergency" birth control pharmaceuticles?

With the many articles that have been written lately about the Earth's population explosion, this should be a no brainer. Thank you Frank Lautenberg.

Signed. Pharmacists don't get to cherry pick which prescriptions they will fill based on their personal beliefs. If their religious prejudices are interfering with their ability to do their job, they need to find another line of work.

To Hans Mueller: Why don't you ask a arduous, serious question?

A minor should be able to purchase birth control devices, when he and/or she are preparing to have sex, at any age. Would you prefer a daughter of yours become pregnant, at a young age? Guess, who would have to take care of the baby.

Next, the same answer applies.

I have one daughter and two granddaughters and I know from where I speak.
My granddaughters are teenagers and my greatest hope, is that I don't have to answer this question; however, if I did, they would receive the same answer I game to you.

No teenage child needs to become a MOTHER.

Signed and noted. I pray that the kids today, fully understand to the fullest all that it takes physically, mentally and financially to bring a child into the world today. That if they still want to play around, to do it with a brain and that means to do it safely to prevent mishaps and diseases.
Thanks Cher

It's doubly ironic that so many of the far-right want the government to "stay out of our private lives" yet try to prevent women from having access to birth control AND abortion.
