Make sure President Obama listens to the recommendations from his own commission: Arctic management needs to be based on sound science.

How much more can we say? Offshore drilling must be done away from living species - humans and animals. How many more times must we say it? You are killing off species of animals, their habitats. And after they are gone then it is the human being species and our habitat that will follows as it has already started in the Gulf. Get with it!!! All the money you make will one day be useless for the lives of those who have killed!!!!!

Of course, we must pull together to protect these Arctic animals. But how? Could it be too late? Climate change to a warmer stage accelerates. Where will these animals be in the future if the earth is getting warmer?

where will we be ? Humans. Suffocating at sea level for lack of oxygen..Oceans dying.. air pollution is global..water polluted, mercury..lead, toxins in water table..foods poisoned, medicine gone nuts for profits. politicians for sale.corruption..illegal wars for resources.. the wrong revolt..general strikes..cut up credit cards and shut them big box shopping.. stop feeding the monster or this is all waste of time.. they don't care..park that planet killing car..stay home..ride a bike..walk run..roller shoe..:0)
Talk is cheap..we need action now..revoke corporate protections and think new way..local, regional, tribal, produce consume our own goods, no privatizing resources.. thats nuts..being raped already.. good grief..

Make solar power available and affordable. Stop digging in the earth for oil and have less reasons to go to war. Less ways to poison our earth.

Noted and letter sent with a deep sigh, hoping we have enough time to fix what we have done to our planet in the last century. This is what really GETS me: our planet has been around for millions of years. Animals who have been around since before dinosaurs and who had plentiful populations in good habitat up until as recently as 100 years ago have been on a steep decline in just the last 100 years. And the people who can really DO something about it don't think human activity is responsible for the decline. They're supposed to be the smart ones. [shaking my head in dismay]

This issue keeps popping up like so many sickening commercials. All it is for is so that the oil barons become wealthier than they already are, and at our expense and PARTICULARLY at the expense of the ecosystem. Do they care anything about polar bears and seals, etc.? You know they don't. Nor do they give a rat's ass about the planet and even the people on it; all they care about is profit. For the millionth time, we need to be thinking about alternative fuels, and it CAN be done despite the objections and lobbying of the GOP and these damnable oil barons. (I include other anti-environmental "barons" here.) We will have to rise up and put our foot down because those people will never let up until they think they have worn us down.

Signed the petition. Why can't they just keep out of areas that these precious animals, mammals, sea creature and birds live alone? After the big disaster that they've already created and still can't clean up 100% or replace all that they damaged, you'd think that they'd have some sense to not try any more stupid projects again. I guess the dumb never learn. Thanks Cher

There is a lot more Arctic in Canada than Alaska, so why are we not able to have this directed at Pres. Obama and Stephen Harper. While we had expected more from Pres. Obama this kind of stupidity is innate to our excuse for a government who totally support the destructive Oil Sands and they should both realise they will pay in the end.
