In an amusing turn of events today, a scientific study funded largely by climate skeptics has shown that the established scientific consensus on climate change is, in fact, correct.

In an amusing turn of events today, a Care2 member has shown that she is busy promoting misinformation by parroting the allegation that people who are not convinced of the wisdom of unconditional belief in the representations made in the media are restricted to a narrow channel of thought rather than a proper cynicism which is part and parcel of Scientific Method.
And I didn't choose to keep such to myself :
does alleged 'scientific consensus' conform to Scientific Method ? In fact, it does not. There is no requirement for technical expertise to make sound argument - merely sound logic.
Nor should we take too seriously mathematical models which are innately unprovable...because they generate scenarios which cannot be verified while purporting to conform to all possible variations of perturbing factors and temperature records.
Nuts. It's worse than extrapolating past known data : but a political allegation underlying globalization and international tax and fraud both.
Plus it will denude countries of capital necessary to respond to such change if true - and of fuel if not.
That's a 'Heads I Win, Tails You Lose' deal for the proponents. For the rest of us...not so much.

Climate change is very concerning. We humans should reduce our CO2 emissions significantly, and quickly.

now if we can just get around to being willing to do what is right to prevent the worst damages from this.......we need to get over the "ME NOW" attitudes of too much of the world.....

Read my lips. I do deny climate change.
Scam ? If you don't like my thoughts, a little home work will reveal fraud prosecuted in carbon credits starting in 2005 : smaller nations running from the Copenhagen accord when it was revealed that the sponsoring nations had substituted position papers which would have given preferential rates to polluting nations.
Feedback is already coming in from Australia about the effects of so - called 'climate legislation ' - it is not that - which strips funds from a country already suffering - less than most - from economic downturn.
Just try to position my thoughts as corporate drivel. I have far too much posted to show otherwise : and yes, that includes geopolitical analysis of globalization propaganda and the use of the '
Denier'; meme to poison peoples' thoughts against alternative representations. It is as much a lie as 'Support the Troops' by people who deny them medical treatment, employment and professional shock trauma counseling. Why ? Because we have graduated to 'scientific' fortunetellers and soothsayers.
Or try Global - which specializes in military intelligence They also collect alternative viewpoints...something missing in political messaging.

Whoops. I do NOT deny climate change. And even the scientist environmentalists at Suzuki Elders caution that background allowance for natural - sometimes dramatic - historical/geological records of temperature variations are being thrown away in the rush to posit a stable background for calculating solar dynamics - an extremely new practice.

thanks, noted, no one is surprised that the Berkeley data shows the same thing as the original data did, what would have been surprising is if it did show something different

Thanks for the article. If they need the money to fuel programs such as these, they should contact the richer people who have the money and the scientists too, who has the ability to pinpoint the main problems with global warming and address to these problems as soon as possible.

Noted, signed another petition. After warming, Then what? I agree that there is some warming, however there definitely is climate change as well and that is the better way to say it -- in my book. No Fear -- find the way to deal with it.
