Composting all your kitchen veggie scraps & coffee grounds yields new compost every year to add to your soil. This is rich black dirt that can add valuable nutrients to your garden beds. It's easy, I just keep a container on the counter, and dump it in the bin a few times a week. It adds up quickly, and keeps organic matter out of landfills where it gives off methane gas.

Noted, Thank you Cher.

Try looking on the BBC Gardeners' World website for advice on making compost and leafmould.

TY Cher.

"Shall I not have intelligence with the earth? Am I not partly leaves and vegetable mould myself." ―Henry David Thoreau

A Who's Who of pesticides is therefore of concern to us all. If we are going to live so intimately with these chemicals eating and drinking them, taking them into the very marrow of our bones - we had better know something about their nature and their power. ― Rachel Carson, Silent Spring

Digging up the dirt and composting before planting is the only way I managed to get anything to grow. If it worked in the South after King Cotton depleted the soil, then it's got to work on my little plot!
