My strongest memory of Amy will be of the difference in her from her arrival at Eden in 2012 when she was rescued from a back yard poultry keeper with very severe, untreated mycoplasma and then how she was at the end of this winter when the days

This is such a beautiful story.
Amy gave love and was loved and she knew that. She had an amazing end to her journey here. That is what she will remember

Cried my heart out. Thought of all my friends who eat meat thoughtlessly.

Had she been in a factory farm, her condition would never have been known. We have to support whistle blowers and be AGAINST legislation that would ban photos of factory farming.
Too bad Amy had to suffer, but perhaps she will reincarnate into something that will never be near human beings again. At least- the cruel ones.

Sad but beautiful. Unfortunately the standard breed of turkey being created today, not heritage birds, can barely stand up, and isn't designed to live more than 12 weeks. It's amazing this poor thing made it as long as she did. RIP Amy.

God blessed Amy with a home with lots of love. She may have passed, but she knew wonderfulness before she went. RIP Amy.

Everyday I pray that God severely punishes the humans who abandon, abuse, intentally mame or kill an animal. I hope my prayers are being answered. I also ask God to bless all the animals and those that love and care for them.

I too pray everyday to God for the animals, they are innocent and they depend on us to love and care for them!
