Lucky for me there is a Farmer's Market close by - though they are open only on Saturday. At least there's a Fresh Market around the corner.

Electric car - I'm holding off till the technology improves. When you can drive one from Atlanta, GA to Portland, OR in three days, I'll at least nibble.

Gardening - all I have right now is a patio. However, that's why you have pots and trellises.

Bicycling - not practical for me right now. I'm looking for a job that allows me to take rapid transit. Or walk

Efficient light bulbs - check.

Interesting post. Sorry, but I don't agree that electric cars are really more green. Just because you don't see the pollution being created by burning coal to generate electricity, doesn't mean it exists. All that happens with an electric car is that energy is dissipated creating the electricity, then more is dissipated converting the electricity to motor movement. Not sound engineering. A trendy thing environmentally, but green only if the cars ran on solar electricity.

There is a wonderful organic vegan cafe that I started going to occasionally last year. They are fantastic and green, a great combination.

Noted with thanks Cher. I agree with Kamia T. regarding the cars. I cannot ride a bicycle because of a back injury and arthritis in the knees also. Cannot plant a garden this year, lost the spot to a shed! But will try to plant some veggies in pots. Also have a Farmer's Market in our town which is great, I guess I will have to switch to the new LED bulbs, cut they are $10 + tax here. I have the other energy saving ones. But I do recycle, reuse, reduce, re purpose!

I'm a big fan of gardening and if I were to travel then I'd love to go by train.
