What Is Greenwashing (and How Do I Spot It)?

At its simplest, greenwashing is the environmental equivalent of whitewashing. You know, when you put a thin veneer of white paint on something to make it appear white, but when the paint starts to chip or rub off, everyone can see it's not white

Greenwashing is a nasty and sneaky stratagem. We all need to be reminded of its existence and how to spot it.

Then there is "pinkwashing" involving the fight against breast cancer.
