The Philippines has signalled it is ready to take in thousands of migrants who are stranded on AsiaâEUR(TM)s seas, the first country to offer shelter after its south-east Asian neighbours blocked them from entering.

Well good, but the Philippines is very poor and have a lot of starving people :/ I heard Indonesia is going to take some in too but through Aceh province which is ruled by Sharia law mostly..so I don't know how happy they will be in these places

This is really worth noting, but why does a 3rd World country have to help when so many 1st World countries won't?

Roslyn I believe the word is can't not won't a lot of 1st World countries (as you describe them ) can not even help their own people lack of medical care food banks poverty begging in capital cities so bringing in more people only make positions worse
