US Zip Code needed. Veterans swore an oath to make the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the lands we love. They shouldn't have to pay again at the front gate.

I signed, too. I may not agree with going to war or being the military, but I do believe in caring for people. These vets have been through enough bad stuff and many have PTSD. Getting into national parks for free might help some have a nice vacation! And it really won't any costs to the government as the price of their passes will hardly be missed in park budgets. It's not like each park will have thousands of free visitors straining the system.

Signed. Whatever I (or anyone else) may think about military service, our veterans genuinely sacrifice their lives for what they believe is our country and our principles. They should have access to the national treasures they fought for and proof they we're a nation of principles. Too often they come home to hardship and criticism when they are expecting appreciation and access to opportunities. It's small recompense.

Let's be careful here. There is no draft. People did not have to sign up for a non-necessary war (purpose: profiteering and some idiots' egos???). If parks are going to be free for Veterans then they should be free to all. Article headline in a major newspaper today: ' US military charge cards used at strip clubs thousands of times.'
The military is a welfare program for all the white males at the top. It is time to wean the incompetent organization and spend the money on infrastructure. Who wants to be on the next bridge to collapse.
