Today's Open Thread on TomCat's blog, with a new poll, and very nice too.

4:55 (5:30) This puzzle description tells me more about tennis balls than I wanted to know.

I did answer the poll but you will have to see it there. Great poll.

The Donald - But daddy wouldn't lend his helicopter, so Donnie had to travel in rented limos and even get STUCK IN TRAFFIC! What AGONY! (Isn't that a song for two princes from Into the Woods?)

Chrissie - There's a reason Amtrak is expensive to ride, and the ability to guarantee freedom from noise pollution is part of it. Surprised he took that correction so humbly, though.

Bufflehead - Don't be silly - Jon would not rescue a pig with strawberry smoothie on his snout, fresh off of Amtrak - that pig Jon would leave to his fate.

I promise not to disturb - you need to be left alone while your tongue heals, I hope quickly.

I couldn't even imagine asking to borrow $100 from my father. Borrowing anything, period. A million $$'s? Not in my daddy's house.

CChristie is a BigMouth!! And not in a good way either.

Love Jon Stewart and his family for doing this. Kudos to him!!

I feel like that kitty w/her soft pillow. Working at school all day wears me out. Ouch! Hope that your tongue heals okay. Thanks, Nameless and tell TC I said Hi !!

As much as I love Halloween I don't do horror movies. Afraid I can't even make a choice on the poll as I haven't seen any of them. I just placed a video on my connected friends pages that is about as scary as I go and it took me a lot to get through it the first time watching but I knew it was a short video.

Did I mention that I still love Halloween.....bwahaha

Oh I do recall seeing a couple movies way back when, The House On Haunted Hill and the 13 Ghosts. We got some glasses, if you wanted to see the ghost you looked in the blue if you didn't want to see the ghost you did the red side. What a wimp I am, I stayed with the red side. The music and what I did see was enough.

Great pix choices! Did the poll...brain enjoyed absorbing your finds but not finding words to put down here--maybe I need to join your kitty and return when I am refreshed...

Great job, Nameless. I voted for The Shining in the poll.

Yes, I almost wept at listening to how hard the Donald had it, trying to survive on a measly milliondollar loan. Poor baby.

I am actually surprised that Christie left the quiet car instead of demanding to be left alone.

Jon Stewart: I actually all ready knew this. I am involved in Animal Rescue, and also foster cats, so I get a lot of animal welfare news. I allready was a fan of his, this just sealed the deal for me.

I voted for The Exorcist as horror movie! The real horror story is what these repubs are doing to our counry! Thanks for the post, Joanne!

Subtlety of music usually creates the best types of horror movies, especially with the Exorcist.

I don't do horror movies either for reasons I posted there. Basically they don't show humanity at its best and there are far too many real world boogeymen for me to spend time on fake ones.

"Well, one does have to admire his fortitude. After all, to start out in life as a humble millionaire with all the other silver spoon disadvantages he had to face, courtesy of his Poppy … I mean it’s a miracle he’s still alive today."

You know, maybe only the Donald could make such an asinine assertion with a straight face as if everyone whose daddy could start them out with a million dollars could go bust as often as he has and still end up rich, HUGE rich. But there's an idea, start everyone out with a million dollars on the day they are born and see how things turn out. A whole lot better than they have would be my guess.

And shame on whomever woke that poor kitten.

Thank you Nameless for going through all that trouble to put up a poll. It works and you've had a lot of votes and comments already, even censored ones, through no fault of yours or TomCat's I think. It's the polling software having a mind of it's own. ;-)

Politicus US: Isn't he endearing, your baby Trump? Don't you love him for pouting and whining about having had it so tough with setting up shop with Daddy's miserly $ 1 million loan, and having to pay it back with interest. You don't? Then why the hell are you voting for this privilege oozing idiot? Oh, because he's going to build a wall to keep illegal immigrants out for which he's going to make the Mexicans pay. Right.

NY Post: This didn't turn into the horror story I expected it to, Christie didn't start yelling at the conductor and didn't refuse to leave the quiet car. This is what we Dutch call looking for nails in shallow water. But I just love your comment on the pig rescued from an Amtrax train with remnants of a strawberry smoothie on his snout, Nameless.

New York Times: I can sooo understand Jon Stewart and his wife doing this. Although his work as a TV show host was terribly important, rescuing animals must be much more gratifying and immediate. I'd do exactly the same if I had a chance and I wish them both all the best.

Cartoon: Have one of my catnaps, which are popular in certain circles, Nameless, but watch out with the dosage.

Dude, I can't wait for the opportunity to put up a poll. I see TC fixed the poll the way I thought it needed . . . same thing as when I put links in a story.

Trump the stump . . . but did he pay market interest? Trump is such a piece of worm eaten dead wood! How anyone could take this bombastic, bloviating idiot seriously just amazes me.

Just the sight of PIGnocchio is enough to launch my cookies. I wish he had protested and been unceremoniously turfed from the train.

How I miss Jon Stewart's wit! I'll bet he has all the rescues in stitches. Laughter is good medicine!

Nap well good and faithful dude!

Noted. Thanks Joanne. Nothing's as scary as rapidly escalating climate change, Republicans, and being under the thumb of the evil, insane 1% that rules, continues to destroy the planet and all living.
