That would keep the daily bike rides from getting boring with always traveling different routes. Thanks Joanne.

Wowsers. (NOT in the Australian sense LOL) How stunning. I love the "Life-imitating-art-imitating-art-imitating-life" quality of the very first one you show, but all are amazing. And OMG, the mermaid!

Joanne - this is delightful!

And I like his idea that walkers or runners could do the same kind of GPS doodles!

Thanks for sharing - I'm sharing it on!!

WOW! He had to go long distances to create these pictures!

So original and amazing!

I like the giraffe, and grasshopper.

Thank you, Nameless for this, and Joanne for posting.

Thanks Nameless--my legs are hurting just contemplating doing some of them but I am in awe on both the creative and fitness fronts.

Wow, Stephen Lund must be in fantastic condition, as his "painting" took only a quarter of the kilometers he rode last year (more than 22,300 kilometers). Makes you wonder when he'll move to another town with an equally interesting grid of roads, because Victoria must have given about all she had road-wise by now. Then he'll have a lot more of these great "paintings" in store for us, I'm sure.

Thanks for posting, Nameless, and Joanne for cross-posting.

Thanks for sharing Joanne. Stephen Lund sure has a great right side of the brain...this is amazing!! and with a GPS!! I absolutely love the Mermaid of the Salish Sea. All this art from roads in Victoria, B.C., with even Queen
Victoria doodled.
Stephen you are an inspiration!!

A little too techie for me. Not sure I'm grasping this. Is he riding what he draws? Or he rides and the map is set as he is riding?

Dandelion, apparently he sketches it out in advance but the actual picture is drawn on the internet by the GPS he carries when riding so it doesn't exist in full until the ride is complete.

Thanks Joanne. Didn't help I've got a head cold, the article just wasn't connecting with me.
