A post on TomCat's blog. Two items this week which seem to call for the intervention of the Greek Furies, and one call for entries to help them out.

Wetiko is indeed as wonderful to read as you say!

I'm quite familiar with quality on-line courses (no one should do more than two at a time IMO or they'll risk arm nerve damage) and those log you off after a fairly short period without clicking or keystrokes (unless you are viewing a video). No student should be doing it for all their subjects so I have no problem with the furies tackling this one for the extra horrid reasons.

I was wondering about the CO candidate challenge I saw a reference to--thanks for giving me the rest of the picture.

Lost my comment A.gain.

Tisiphone: I know a student here who was doing online ed. He was slipping in calculus, had to get a tutor, then dropped out of the program, and went (physically) back to an alternative school, and is doing just fine now. Big, Big Bucks to the corporations! ugh.

Wetiko: What a fascinating article. I've saved it so I can research it later.

Thank you, Joanne for your great post.

The way these Republican adolescents are behaving is so pathetic it's making my eyes water. And these people want to replace Michael Bennet? But do I read it correctly and you're saying you're worried no Republican is going to make the Colorado Senate ballot? Better instruct your furies to keep it that way, I would think.

CAVA/K12 Inc.: Not only is K12 Inc raking in big heaps of taxpayers money for the education of students who probably aren't even behind their computers after logging in, but playing virtual truant, they're also scamming parents to enroll into these virtual schools and think their kids are given good tutorage. You might want to tell Tisiphone to look into both aspects and then take down network.

Wetico: From your description, Joanne, I think the English-American word for wetico would be Republican, right?

Update on the signatures I can now say both "forged" and "signatures" - Reporter Marshall Zelinger with Denver Channel 7 actually interviewd people on camera whose names are on Mr. Keyser's petition but look funny, and confirmed they did not sign it. You can send a message to Mr. Keyser to withdraw here:
