'Racism often underpins, or is used to justify, abuses of tribal people, whether it's stealing their land, exploiting them or even killing them...isn't about political correctness - it has very real consequences for...livelihoods, land, and...their lives.

This article makes it clear that in the media such racism continues to exist, even among people who are supposed to ‘know better’. This isn’t about political correctness – it has very real consequences for tribal peoples’ livelihoods, land and, ultimately, their lives.’

If only we, as the Human race COULD stamp out racism!

Noted and thanks Mark !
I am well aware racism is alive and well in this country .
I posted something in a blog and a lady sent me a personal email and she told me to move on that the things that happened in the past to the Native people are in past .She is not even aware of the things our Native people still have to endure today !
Her email was very nasty but I won't get into all she said,,she had no clue of the history of how America was occupied and taken over by the Europeans or even what they did to the Native people in fact she told me the Native people came from Japan on ships and were not native to this country.
I can not believe that anyone can go through life and not learn anything about the country they live in and its history !
