All I can say is I pray our animal rights community file lawsuits.
What BLM is doing is illegal and yet they are getting away with it.
But that doesn't leave them free from being sued by AR groups.
It's the only way to stop this.

We have celebrities, our head spokesman for the horses is Willie Nelson, plus numerous others. (we even have Pierce Brosnan, Rob Thomas, Cheryl Crow to name a few) We have all kinds of supporters, we have all kinds of petitions, we have all kinds of laws the BLM are breaking. Only till ARM (ANIMAL Rights Militants) get involved will anything really be done. Just my opinion

.."of caution, four sharpshooters were stationed should a horse make it past the temporary corral:...My gosh, these weren't bears or mountain lions but they were prepared to shoot them anyway. Just awful all the way around .

Why in God's name does BLM not leave the wild mustang be in their natural habitats & live a care free life as they are meant too! Why Oh why must humans always interfere & stick their nose where it does not belong??? And our tax $'s go to pay for insanity all the while we fight to stop this! The logic just doesn't add up! And all the mustangs want, is to be left alone.

If these wild mustangs are so dangerous as stated by these people hauling them off - please note that they were rounded up without incident. Return them to where they belong. These ranchers just want all the land for their cattle without competition from the horses. Please tell me what long term warehousing actually means????

Noted, thanks. Government agencies and politicians seem hell-bent on destroying all the wild, beautiful creatures that are violent means. It's bad enough that we have lost so much wildlife due to lack of habit and a poisoned environment.

Why don't they just leave the wild horses alone? I don't see how they (the BLM) can continue to round up these horses to "store" them at the tax payers expense! More stress and harm for the horses and donkeys. Leave them alone!!

The truck driver was as stupid as the BLM. "the driver failed to heed height limit warning signs and the top of the aluminum trailer was sheared off by the heavy steel beams of the South Avenue railroad underpass." And then they have the stupidity to call these beautiful horses dangerous. This horse round-up HAS to be stopped. Why must greediness and the love of money control some people's minds. The only reason these horses are being tortured this badly is becaue the ranchers want this land and Salazar is one of the greedy ranchers

The BLM is out of control and noone in Washington listens or gives a damn. I think we need to invite the ALF
to visit Salazar and then have a fence cutting ceremony. I am so distraught I would join in the ceremony!!!!!

I'm with Charlene, if I was there I'd release the horses, they have no right to capture them nor to kill them.
When the government breaks the law, there is no law. Just a fight for survival.

They just need to leave the horses alone. They would be a lot better off without the aide of the BLM.

IN THE MESSAGE BOX! Please paste this and only this just like it is-
We the undersigned, think the BLM's ways of roundup is cruel and driving what's left of our wild horses and burros to extinction. The BLM claims the land is not able to support all the wild horses and burros kept on the land. Though it is estimated that wild horses and burros that belong their, and cattle that is forced to graze their on the same land as the wild horses and burros is 1 horse or burro to every 5 cattle/sheep. This is likely the cause of lacking food and water sources. On behalf of me, and everyone else who has signed this petition we ask you defund the wild horse and burro roundups through the FY11 DOI appropriations process, either through a Continuing Resolution or an Omnibus Spending Bill. The west was built on horseback, and this is no way to treat whats left of the wild horses and burros. I know there are bigger problems that need your assistants, but you are some of the few people that have the ability to help, and care enough to do so. Horse advocates say the land could easily keep many more wild horses and burros than the BLM says. The EA information that they are going off of that says it cannot support many wild horses and burros is over 13 years old and therefore outdated and does not give accurate numbers. The BLM refuses to get a updated EA and that's just another sign that the BLM is forcing roundup now. Please de-fund the 2011 BLM helicopter roundup. Thank you so much for your time and consideration about this issue, i hope you highly consider de-funding the roundup.

We have over 250 signs about this issue, asking for you to stop the BLM 2011 roundups which have already began, but we need to stop now before it's too late and all wild horses and burros are removed. Wild horses and burros are a part of America's heritage, and we do not want them to go extinct and fade to a memory. The west was built on horseback, and we cannot let this important and well-known part of America fade away. You have all the needed reasons and power to stop this from happening, we ask you do so. I cannot attach the signs to this letter, so if you would like to view the signs and comments outraged citizens have given, go to the website listed below-

When you were voted president, you said you were going to help make this country a better place, and this should include the animals world. Keep our wild horses and burros alive and stop these horrible and unnecessary roundups.
A response is requested
