If the proposal is accepted, recreational hunting will only cause negative impact to our National Parks and Public lands, damages that cannot be reversed.

WA SHOOTERS and FISHERIES PARTY have forwarded a proposal to legalise recreational hunting in WA protected National Parks and Crown lands.

If the proposal is accepted, recreational hunting will only cause negative impact to our National Parks and Public lands, damages that cannot be reversed. Our parks will become dangerous for our children and anyone else who want to explore the beauty of Australia and what it has to offer. It has shown in NSW and VIC on annually in each state they've been 2.5 human death every year.

The hunter and fisheries party proposal are:

. To release feral animals into our national parks to hunt.
.To allow hunting with dogs
. Allow the use of helicopters to hunt animals
. Turn our parks in hunting tourist business
. Allow children to hunt in our parks

Australia has the highest extinction rate of native wildlife fauna and plant flora than anywhere else in the world. National parks only cover 9% of Australia. these national parks are sanctuaries and true safe heavens for some of our most endangered species. having tourist getting trigger happy with anything that moves will only force our native wide life out of their safety zones. The RSPCA opposed to this proposal and, states, recreational hunting is extremely cruel. "animals will be run to the the point of exhaustion and torn apart by hunting dogs. Animals with offspring are left to die, some will die slowly and sometimes it may take days"

Our national parks are rich in culture and are extremely important to the native aboriginal people of Australia, Having hunters in 4wd driving over sacred land will be disrespectful and the damage that will be done will be irreversible.

The Hunters and fisheries party are wanting these national parks and Crown lands to be "enter at your own risk". In NSW park rangers are finding hunters that are breaking all the laws and park rules and are normally found intoxicated behind the gun while getting trigger happy with native wild life.
hunters have been using our national parks like a garbage bin. leaving cigarettes butts, beer cans etc. Due to their actions, policing the parks has to be rise and this has come to the cost of the tax payers. yet most of the public are outraged by the allowing of hunters in parks and crown lands. Here in WA hunters have already been breeding and releasing bores in the parks. it's been reported that
UP to 5000 feral pigs are wreaking havoc in the Walpole Wilderness, uprooting peat, killing and endangering plants, animals and their habitats, and spreading dieback. Shooters have also ripped up pig traps set up by the Department of Parks and Wildlife and have stolen $600 surveillance cameras here in WA.

For goodness sake, so many things wrong with this idea! Park users in danger, and releasing feral animals to hunt!! I guess the powers that be just don't learn from past mistakes!!!
