Can Fracking Solve the Nuclear Waste Problem?

Science & Tech  (tags: nuclear energy, nuclear waste, fracking, shale rock )

- 1929 days ago -
U.S. scientists are proposing that the source of one controversial energy program could provide a solution to the problems of another. Nuclear waste--that embarrassing by-product of two generations of uranium-fueled power stations--could be stored ...

Both produce unusable uses more than its fair share of our finite fresh water supply, contaminates ground water, and causes earthquakes in places that never had them before...that doesn't count the leaks and spills from pipelines, the explosions from trains, and runiation of land. Take your pick...

So not only will you be able to light your water on fire it will also glow in the dark. Pumping radioactive waste into a bore hole is madness. How do you control how much high level radiation is in one spot? How do you keep it from going critical and starting the fission process?

I don't think so. I think it will create exponential problems within 10 - 20 years. Do you think the PTBs actually care?

Heh..heh..heh..soon our Immortal Immoral Impoverishing Illuminati will be damned with us all, unless they plan to go underground or off world..:) hey wait..That's the Space Program..getting the hell outta here and leaving us, our Ascendents, heh, to deal with before the whole population pukes itself to death from radiation poisoning we left them.. these dinks work on our authority.. we will wear it to posterity be there anyone at all left to postulate about it. ;) Store it in all the once sovereign now corporate state capitals and let them, wear it..:) Send the genius's who thought this up to clean it up..:) Stand around irradiating as they ponder their situation..torn apart by a mob of 7 billion or..cooked alive..:) NO win..shouldn't win..should be punished for the thought :0)
Just having my coffee a bit rushed :)
It's real simple..can't reason with lunatics..go with it..or..:)

I don't believe that there is any good reason for fracking. There are methods for energy production that already exist that don't rely on fracking and wondering what to do with the destruction caused by fracking.

I think that this is not the way to go, that we will just exchange one problem for another, , and I feel silly, stating the obvious, here.
We need to focus on renewable sources, like we focused on getting to the moon! And, I
'm afraid we will have to push this from the grass roots, as the ESTABLISHMENT simply wants business (literally) as usual.

Can anyone tell me whatever happened to the last bunch of smart guys who started the Nuclear Energy story, in the first place............... sorry, I don't hear anything?? We might now have to solve their Nuc-waste problem with another Fracking hazard..... stuff them all, I say!!
Time to get off planet earth, or whatever will be left of it!!

Turn the nuclear waste into glass pellets. Then put them in front of the lava flow off the Hawaiian islands. Where they will be buried under a lava rock barrier till it is subducted under the Asian plate millions of years from now.
