Thank you Kathy *hug* Sorry to yell at you, but this is an issue close to my heart.
From the text of the very short article, at least the Swedish Original it can possibly be educed that the culprits are not just young people, but that there might be a number of incident that are initiated by adults, such as teachers.

It is also - and I am going to focus a little on the 23% boys that have stated that they have been subjected to unwanted sexual attention - significant that the number of boys admitting or stating that they have been sexually abused either by their peers (boys or girls) have grown - just a decade ago the statistics looked quite different.

I truly think that it's a change in attitudes, rather than in an actual increase in the number of incidents of sexual abuse perpetrated against boys. Boy are now getting the message that unwanted sex is not ok just because you're a boy, and that boys too have a right to say no and be in control of their bodies.

But I think in general the rate of reporting sexual abuse (ranging from groping to rape, as well as verbal sexual abuse)has risen. I think I vaguely recall a ratio of 44% for girls and 17% for boys some years back.

It is good that there now seem to be a rise in the number of those who admit to have been subjected to unwanted sexual attention.

It would be nice if the were no reports at all due to no incidents, however I don't see that happening.

I'm going to say the numbers are more likely higher than is actually reported for boys..I still think there are far to many that don't come forward..and that is so sad that some may feel that they can't..

You're so right would be wonderful to end this atrocity on all children..
Thanks for posting this..
