Yes you read that right. Some idiot bit a two inch whole into someones 4 foot python while he was drunk. He says he doesn't remember because he is an alcoholic. Watch the video to hear this crazy strange story of animal abuse. The snake is now okay.

this one really bothered me, my ball python radar would never hurt anything bigger than a rat, to think of someone hurting him. well guess i would beat the crap out of someone too. it dangerous to leave a rat in a cage with your snake as it might end up injured. and im sorry have no sympathy for this guy, i didnt know because i blacked out is no excuse for any kind of cruelty. if you know you black out you need help. one drink is too much . glad the snake is going to be ok. but it suffered pain just like any warmblooded animal and this guy is just dangerous to anyone he may be around while drinking

What a moron. It looks like that poor python was surrounded by morons. That snake is not a toy. Bunch of idiots! Pythons are non-venomous but can still land a nasty bite. Too bad David Senk bit first. Glad the snake it going to be OK. TY Lindsey

Pythons are not pets! All the idiots involved in this fiasco bear the burden of guilt, and David Senko needs some serious rehab...

Agree with Kim O. the snake deserves a SAFE home. (In the wild would be best, but I understand...)

Yes, ditto people!!! Get that snake to a fabulous sanctuary, or to someone who actually understands the nature, like Joan. And thank you LIndsey for posting this. And I will say, the reporting of this case of cruelty was actually decent on the TV. I very much appreciated how they pointed up the fact that the snake was being passed around like a toy. So Kudos to them for that.

Don't wanna see the video. Don't need to see it either. I'm fed up with stupid alcoholics who kill, abuse and torture animals, women and kids and then they just say they don't remember having done anything. I'd kill them all!

Carrying the python around in a backpack, indications that it was dehydrated and not well cared for are not big endorsements for the person who had this snake to begin with. The drunk biting the poor snake ...what can I say? Maybe he thought it was a sausage? I know it isn't funny at all. And I'm glad the guy is in prison and isn't getting away with it. I hope the python finds himself a really good home with people that know how to care for it.

I have to confess that I am terrified of snakes, but it sounds like this one needs a new home. Surely it was not meant to be carried around in a back pack or handed to a drunk!

Poor python, snakes are so misunderstood, they are not monsters, they are actually usually quite timid and like to be left alone. Pythons are exceptionally beautiful snakes, especially the African Rock Python. I hope he will recover thats all.
