The event in question is very strange.

They forgot to mention all the starlings that dropped dead because of the USDA poisoning them! This is not a mystery but rather a denial or cover of what we are knowingly and unknowingly doing to our planet and other species. Jesus, seals are dying off from developing brain lesions. Other species are dropping dead and going extinct all over the freaking planet.

I'm sure bird and fish death has noting to do with the explosives we throw into the air or the poison we pollute the ocean with.

This must be created by humans! It's closing in on us all the pollution we have let out, it must be consequences at some point! Thanks for posting!

You see Iowa, the fish knew you were going to vote for Santorum, so they did this, it is your fault!

I think the fireworks theory is hogwash, you don't hear about this after the fourth of July.

There must be some form of pesticide used somewhere as birds just don't fall out of the sky!

Whatever the chemistry cause of these deaths (what a waste of lives) it is a sad fact that it is because of the actions of senseless humans.

Very sad that people would intentionally use fireworks to kill red-winged blackbirds! All the deaths are tragic, and I'm sure that in some way or other they're all linked to human activities --whether due to intentional acts or thoughtless and irresponsible behavior.
