Japan continues to undermine international laws by hunting whales and trading in whale meat. These great whale species are afforded full legal protection by the International Whaling Commission (IWC) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangere

I signed, but when I visited Amazon I saw no evidence of whale meat being available for sale. Perhaps it is only available in a branch that caters to the far East?

I can not believe that a company that sells so much products would be so heartless as to sell Whale, Dolphin and Porpoise Flesh knowing that its cruel to do so, well that is it for me and Amazon, no more will I buy there!!

*sigh* Again Amazon? Really? First animal fighting magazines, which illegally sell materials and advertising for dog fighting (including an advertisement of a ring for sale, complete with bought off police) - which the HSUS sues you for and managed to bring the MAGAZINES down (even though amazon did NOT pull them, the magazines bankrupted), now this? Shame, shame on big companies. I was considering removing them from my boycott list, but certainly not going to now.

Wow, had not even heard of them doing that until now. I guess they'll sell anything in order to make even more than they do.

This needs to be banned. Whales are being slaughtered in record numbers and selling their flesh just adds to the killing.

Dear Armand,
Thank you for urging President & CEO of Amazon.com Jeff Bezos to end the sale of whale, dolphin and porpoise products on Amazon.jp.

Noted and signed. Tx Lindsey!

Update 2/22: Just 24 hrs after the launch of our campaign, Amazon has pulled whale meat from its shelves. While we’re encouraged by this development, Amazon has yet to issue a formal policy change on whale, dolphin, and porpoise meat. It's important for Amazon to hear from people about this issue until officials commit to a formal and complete halt on sales of these animals.
