60 and 70 years ago, European jews by the hundreds of thousands were victims of ethnic cleansing. One would think that jews would be the LAST people on earth to take up ethnic cleansing against another race. Have they forgotten the horrors of Adolf Hitler so soon? I am amazed at how Israel is able to justify their actions. But, there can be NO justification for this. It is my hope that Israel becomes an international pariah for their treatment of the Palestinian people.
Thank you, Emiko.

Tim, what exactly is YOUR problem? How many Israeli murder bombers have there been? I'm sick of this one sided "reporting". If the Palestinioans had really wanted peace, they would have it. Funny how almost every ARAB country has expelled them, but Israel allows them to remain. Yes, European and Sephardic Jews have been targets of genocides for thousands of years....guess they are just tired of being the victim, and they are still being victimized.....I'm sorry, I hate to see Palestinian women and children hurt or killed, but the blame lies with their so-called leaders. Remember Arafat and his theft of billions that could have been for "his people"? Guess not.

"If they really wanted peace"?! Meaning, if they just lay down and be good little oppressed people?
The land does not belong to the jews, Tru. Never did, never will. The ONLY people in the Mideast with a proven genetic link to Old Testament peoples is the Palestinians. "Israel allows them to remain"?! Do you know the kinds of horrors these people were subjected to in the 1940's when Israel grabbed Palestine for their 'homeland'? The world would never allow such a thing to happen today. There is another side to all this, Tru, and the only way to get that side is to avoid news coverage in the mainstream media, bought and paid for by Israeli interests. The reporting is nowhere near as one-sided once you get away from Fox and CNN. My only 'problem' is Israel being the 8000 pound gorilla in the room in the Mideast while continuing to portray themselves as the put-upon victims of the world.

Being a of Jewish background I believe what Israel's oppression of the Palestinian people is a insult to the Highest Laws of Judaism the Talmud. It is wrong and many Israeli Jews feel the same way. It goes against the fundamental basis of Judaism. That said Tim the genetic link you speak of is highly suspicious I would love to see any unbiased research, their is none. When Israel was formed in the1940's it was desert. The Jewish people brought irrigation to the land farmed it and it became a prosperous piece of land. Tim tell me where the hundreds of millions of dollars in aid that Arafat received in the name of the Palestinian people.went. After his death it was found in foreign bank accounts belonging to Arafat while Palestinians were starving. The land Israel is situated on is not oil rich. Always remember my friend their are two sides no black and white. I am of Jewish heritage and believe in my culture. I believe I am a person of honor and when Israel is wrong and right now they are I would never condone the killing and brutality that they are inflicting on the Palestinian people it is wrong.

For Tru,

“Funny how almost every ARAB country has expelled them, but Israel allows them to remain.”

Changing the truth again. Firstly, 2/3 of the Palestinian people were fled into the Arab neighboring countries by the Zionists. I can’t see how the Arab countries expelled them while they welcomed them..

“I'm sorry, I hate to see Palestinian women and children hurt or killed, but the blame lies with their so-called leaders.”

So why did you described the death of two Palestinian children as a ‘carp’? It is very strange how you do not blame the ‘Israeli’ soldier who killed, but you blame their leaders (even if they were not good).

When the Palestinians elect their real leaders, you start to accuse them of ‘terrorism’, and when the corrupt leaders come in power, you blame them for the killings by the IOF (‘Israeli’ occupation forces’).

For Jonathan,

If the Talmud and Torah were against those actions (and I agree with you), so why are you defending them?

You said:
“When Israel was formed in the1940's it was desert.”

Please tell this in another place, where people are not educated. Here’s a place where people are conscious, and they can’t be fooled by such things.

I suppose you didn’t learn much about the region, so I am going to explain to you.

From a geographic point of view, Palestine is not a desert.

Secondly, a desert has inhabitants.

Here’s a short history of Palestine:
6000 BC
Arabian people settle Canaan (Palestine)
3600 BC
The "Amori" Canaanite origin settle the land
1805 BC
Prophet Abraham moves from Iraq to Canaan
1656 BC
Descendents of Prophet Abraham move to Egypt
1570 BC
Egyptians occupy parts of Canaan
1479 BC
Prophet Solomon occupies parts of Canaan
1186 BC
Hebrews attack city of Jericho in Canaan and massacre all of it's people and live stock
1184 BC
"Palest" people arrive to southern and northern shores of Canaan
1016-936 BC
Prophet David occupies Jerusalem and other areas with exception of the northern and southern parts that were Canaanite inhabited
732 BC
Canaan came under Assyrian control
722 BC
Israelite (Jews) kingdom ended
608 BC
Egyptian rule comes back to Canaan
586 BC
The Jewish kingdom ends
538 BC
The Persians occupy Canaan
484-425 BC
The Greeks rename Canaan to Palestine (the name sticks)
332 BC
Alexander the Great occupies Palestine
63 BC
The Romans occupy Palestine
40 BC
The Persians retake Palestine
Birth of Jesus Christ
70
The Romans destroy Jerusalem
135
Jews revolt against the Romans and loose the battle and leave Palestine
395
Break up of the Roman Empire and Palestine came under the Byzantine rule
272
The Romans retake Palestine
614
Persians retake Palestine
636
Muslims take over Palestine
1099
Crusaders take Palestine
1517
The Ottomans take over Palestine
1917
Great Britain takes over Palestine and Promises the Jews to give them the land of the Palestinians
1922
The League of Nations conspired with Britain against the Palestinian People by giving Britain a mandate to rule Palestine and to implement the [Belfour Declaration].
1948
The Jews take over 77% of Palestine and kick the Palestinians out of their homes and land
1967
The Jews (Israel) attacks remaining 23% of Palestinian land and occupies it, this puts the whole territory of Palestine under Israeli occupation
1967-2007
More than 6.4 million Palestinians are refugees living away from their homes, the rest which is about 2 million Palestinians live under Israeli Military occupation on the land of Palestine. Since 2002, the Israeli occupation forces have killed more than 4,000 Palestinians, about 1500 of them are children, and they wounded more than 75,000 Palestinians, more than 20,000 of them are children.

So Palestine is one of the oldest places in the world. And your way in denying that the Palestinians have existed is not logic at all.

As we can see:
“The Jewish people brought irrigation to the land farmed it and it became a prosperous piece of land.”

This is a true lie.

I won't teach you your religion, but I will ask you to visit this site, to learn more about the true torah and the true Judaism: www.jewsagainstzionism.org

Well said Tim and Amjad. There is much propaganda put out by AIPAC which is never questioned, but accepted at face value in the West. This 'Jew as victim' line is wearing a bit thin, as is the accusation of anti-semitism if Israeli brutality is criticised. Remember that being anti Palestinian is also anti-semitism, since they are also Semitic people. Thus Israel could truely be called anti-semitic - how ironic!!

I would also point out to Tru that the graft of Arafat and friends, is a red herring here, and has nothing to do with the case under discussion - Israeli ethnic cleansing/genocide

The downfall of any nation is when it selects leaders to rule over it. The ruler is the head and the head is corrupt when it is of man. God is our only true ruler and/or head. Israel and Palestine each has a false head. In Christian theology Jesus is the head of the body. It is sad to say that even here in America we have foresake Christ as our ruler and have appointed men as lawmakers to rule over us. Our fate is following the same fate as Israel and Palestine. We too have made enemies of our foreign neighbors.

Christ has forewarned us to love our enemies. Instead, we have chose to allow our leaders to entice us to war. The serpent or that old dragon is steering the world on the path of the Armageddon. We shall destroy each other with our hatred and malice.

If we, who are righteous and just were to cut off these false heads as our leaders or rulers, and were instead to resurrect our Lord and Savior as our true head, then our salvation will be secure.

Amen!

Stories of this nature continue to serve as a source of sadness to me-- There are no winners in war of any kind and at the root of all wars there is the outcome of nothing but greed for land, money, oil or etc,. Someone has to put a stop to all the wars that are currently taking place around the world-- As aware beings, we were not made for war or participating in such-- when we do, we are forever altered and our soul or the very essence of our being is changed. In the name of all that is right and righteous, I shall always pray for peace, understanding and that GOD will change the heart of all peoples for the better~

Noted of course.
Help! I can bearly get through any more of these horrible "truths". I'm afraid it has consumed me to the point, a bit of hate is growing inside of me, never wanted this to happen, trying so hard to fight the "hate".
The more this WAR goes on, the less kind I feel. My own Country's politicians have lost their minds. But in return they have made financial gain.
These are human beings we are talking about, HUMAN BEINGS!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a made for television movie.
I have no clue what is going to happen to our future in The United States as I see no end in sight for this war.
How, how can we allow our current administration to stay with great powers while so many SUFFER and DIE? SUFFER isn't even a harsh enough word.
I'm not a quitter per say, petitions, marches, letters all good.
I know that some (petitions) are just tossed into the garbage can without even being read.
but let's face it, we need to do something anything, we have to remove these people from our most prestigious office(s). Sad indeed!

The Palestinian woman and children have no choice as to what will be their fate, nor do the Iraqi people.
And what do we sit here and do? Argue, debate call it what you want.
I want to be enlightened. I am sick and tired of fighting when in fact if you are not of this ethnicity you really can only learn from those that are. We accomplish nothing with arguing.
Sad, feeling very lost in this great big world of Hate!
These words I type are not just for this post, it's my general feeling of helplessness for all of the mass genocides going on in many many places.
We are supposed to be compassionate HUMANS, show me, where is the LOVE?

PEACE NOW
Al Amjad would like to talk with you about your post above.

The USA pays Israel to kill Palestinians. If someone occupied New York and took all the land a farms and orchards and water and put thye NEw Yorkers under apartheid I'[ll guaranhtee you there woulkd be killings, et cetera.

Israel is just waiting for the orders to deploy some of the MANY atomic bomds they have. IT is not the jewish people it is the pawns of the military industrial cpomp[lex that want arab oil, et cetera.

Israel is a failed state whose charter should be revoked, Palestinians are entitled to their lands, orchards and trees. The wall must come down. Lets give democracy to Israel and let the Palestinians be repatriated and vote.

God told me to make jews and palestinians live side by side, send their children to the same schools and get the rabbis and imans to agree on joint kosher/halal so they have to buy their food from the same stores, make every jew have a palestinian neighbor and visa versa

To the extent that most of the leaders (as ours) are war ceiminaols and guilty of genicide let them all go to prison or work camps. Disband the armiews and put in UN forces.

Cool timeline Al - ill support the term palestine has been in use since the times James the Justs last battle with the Romans bc 36-8 Christians would be better served if they listed to the one whom their religion is based.
