A wide variety of plants and animals are likely to become much less common if something isn't done to avert the worst effects of a warming climate, new research suggests.

There were different plants that existed during the dinosaur era, the carbon in our air today hasn't been so high since way back in time when those creatures roamed around. So some plants will go some plants will stay, but the humans may not be here at all. So if you don't care about a few plants, perhaps you should start to think about your own arses.

People will need to get serious here soon and begin to really demand. But that requires getting off the sofa and taking to the streets, it requires work on the computer to sign petitions, it requires voting for people who are true environmentalists.

Hint hint, neither Romney nor Obama were, yet millions voted for those two non environmentalist Candidates, when there were also clear choices with the Green Party and the Justice Party, both with strong and proven environmental Candidates. We will continue to get what is vote for, and the American people are not voting environmentally in their favor and then wonder why things don't change for the better.

It requires going to local meetings and getting like mined people together. It requires the gathering of many to stand up to the "few" so stop all the talk about unions being bad, we all must all learn there is strength in numbers; the authorities would like you to be thinking otherwise.

In Solidarity......

Not likely to happen---it's already happening. Many animal+plant species are already wiped out but thousands more will be gone in just a few short years! The future is very GRIMM! Thx Carlene

A Devastating thought, but, what ever happened to the idea of Evolution and Natures ability to adapt? New life Forms and Plants. Nature has its own way of keeping things in Balance. Greed is in Control of the World, right now and it has a very Destructive Power and Nature is even more Powerful, than any devise that man can concieve. The trouble with Nature, the same as man. It punishes the innocent, which we are not, along with the Guilty!

....society has long looked at the present times only and have trouble looking at the future and others........we have been warned for a long time and its not slowing down......yet, there are so many other reasons to take care of our home....not just climate.

ditto Dave - and this is been talked about for some time. Thank you for posting Carlene. I find it all very depressing because i really don't think most people, and especially those in authority, are going to snap to it. It's a done deal. Hate to be so cynical ~ but there you have it. It would greatly help if people stopped voting for the whores in Washington that pander to industry too, but what's to be done about so many other countries, like China, who is full speed ahead. And how about factory farming which emits more global greenhouse gas emissions than the entire global transportation sector. That barely gets mentioned. And there you have it - my two little pennies.

What people need to realize is that we, as a species, are becoming endangered too. Thanks for posting.
