Allegations of mismanagement since See Irwin's death. In a statement yesterday, the zoo acknowledged that it had been forced to cut costs, but said the job losses would have no impact on Irwin's legacy

Noted, but sadly noted. I know Steve was the pulling string with his daredevil antics with the crocks. Bindi has written some books. A set of 4 came out just in time for last Christmas. I bought my eldest granddaughter the last 2 she needed to complete the set of 4. I think there are more out right now, but I'm not sure. Whether the books are to pick the zoo up I don't know. I'll have to ask my granddaughter what they are about.

I do agree that they got too much publicity shortly after Steve's death and didn't get any time to grieve. Bindi didn't have a chance to grow up into a normal child, although she seems to love the animals and the zoo. Whether her mum is trying to keep the zoo open until she and her brother are old enough to run it I'm not sure. I do know that Bindi has her father's enthusiasm for the animals, but we haven't heard much of them here in Australia. I think mrs Irwin should spend more time in Australia with the children than in the US. I think that's what Bob Irwin had against her as well.

Very sad. Although sometimes I disagree with his approach to animals, when clearly they were uncomfortable or disgruntled, he sent a clear message to mind the environment and love animals, and his message was hear by so many people so in that way he did an amazing work. Hope the zoo can go successfully go through these hard times.

It's very sad, I hope they can save the zoo and all the animals won't loose their home.

Sad but ... Steve was very charismatic, without him the zoo is doomed to close.
