Thank you for the post, Cal. Yes, Jae, I think you summed it up quite nicely. Very dissappointing about California. And yes, Equal rights is equal rights. Period. Not up for discussion. Kudos to New York.

And about time, too! At least Cuomo realizes that our LGBT sisters and brothers are people, too. Now, if only he could do the same for working people...

You all should have seen it live last night on Rachel Maddow when the people in the State House in Albany broke into a spontaneous A'cappella rendition of "Goin' to the Chapel".

When the fiancee proposed, I told him we could only have the wedding ceremony in a state that has equal marriage laws. Glad to see that my home state of NY may be on the list for potential venues. :}
