Signed and noted! It's a shame that media coverage is so limited. This is history in the making --and the media outlets choose to kowtow to their corporate masters and pretend it isn't happening or that it's insignificant and deserving of the least amount of coverage possible with a slant toward "young people using any excuse to have fun." Edward R. Murrow would be ashamed of his fellow journalists!

Thank you for this petition. I have been very upset and disappointed by the media (lack of) coverage. The major networks do no direct interviews but only editorialize the issue. In essence, they remind me of the Egyptian Media during the demonstrations. They downplay it, trivialize it and say it will go away. They sound like a watered down version of right wing radio. BTW - recently Rich Lintballs (famous rightwing radio hate mongerer) likened the U.S. 'Occupy Wallstreet' demonstrators to TRASH.
We, the middle and under class, the 99% are not trash.

Obama and Congress ARE Wall Street, Geithner IS the Federal Reserve - Now What?

By: ActivistPost
As Occupy Wall Street protests intensify around America, it's important to examine possible solutions.

Eric Blair
Activist Post

Barack Obama and his 2008 presidential challenger John McCain both received more money from Wall Street donors than their combined lifetime government salaries. It was a billion-dollar-plus campaign. In fact, all of Congress makes more from Wall Street and corporate campaign contributions than their public salaries. It is the nature of the modern political system. And Timothy Geithner, despite cheating on his own taxes, was plucked from the New York Federal Reserve to serve as U.S. Treasury Secretary. So who can the People turn to for solutions? ...

Gee, surprising to see Lilith spouting the FreedomWorks line. Not.

It's about more than just the Fed, Lil.

Signed and noted. I do believe Lilith has it right. Lobbyists and Corporate Wall Street do seem to own all sides of the political spectrum. If we don't realize the power and reach of Wall Street, we cannot begin to find solutions to the problems that they cause. So I hope the Activist Post has listed possible solutions.

Meanwhile, five of us old geezers stood on a corner in Sedona last Wednesday with our signs in support of the Occupy Wall Street Movement. It was energizing and out of it has come a Facebook Page,(Occupy Sedona) a link to the Daily Kos, some local press, and promises from more in our small community to turn out next Wednesday, the 12th, for another afternoon of activism. We will be heard.... not only our grievances but ideas for solutions too.

I stand with 'Occupy' Protesters .

Our young adults, with degrees AND student loans but no jobs.

They are doing what they can do.

Many of us who do not fit the above description, stand with them.

I'm not trash either. Wall Street has spit on us longer enough. Time for justice for the working classes- blue collar, white collar, pink collar and no collar at all to take off the yoke of debt and put the "burden" of taxes on the uber wealthy. Fair is fair!

Lies, deceit, corruption, secrets...gonna stop. We're going to BE that 99%. And, of course, the US is not alone. Bilderberg and the "elite" controlling class of a few hundred are goin' down. We've got to break up the "too big to fail" banks and corporations and redirect the taxes that the rich will be paying to rebuild our country and its' middle class.. I think we should all begin to state our desired direction and not wonder at the possibility.
