Awful. The two worlds should not collide, it could easily be disastrous for the indigenous people.

Frightening for the indigenous tribe who shoot arrows at the tourists in their boat! I can't imagine what they were thinking! Now they know for sure their world has changed forever. This is truly sad !
If the government of Peru are aware of indigenous tribes living in certain areas they must protect them and that means info campaigns, laws, whatever it takes to get the word out so that tourists do not encroach on their land.
I am upset that this has happened ... the last 'episode' was when a plane flew over the rainforest and an indigenous tribe shot arrows into the sky at the plane ... looks like the same people as this is the same photo used in that news report.
Thank you Cal for this update.

This brought to mind a story on a reality show which tells of a now dead husband and father whose wife claims that she thought he was a bear. He was shot straight in the head after insurance policies were hiked up for the husband. The wife is scott free and all the richer. The husband had forecast the event to a friend...It's always about $$$$$$$$. My heart always goes out to the indigenous and many times helpless (in the face of the law) tribes and peoples who truly belong and have the right to stay in their habitat. They protect the earth as opposed to the greedy monsters who want to build and develop nature's treasures.
