An indigenous group in the Amazon rain forest took its anti-oil message to Canada in a case rife with accusations of social and environmental damage that highlights the issue of securing consent prior to commencing exploration operations.

A prime reason I can't invest in 401Ks. It's all sh*t like this. Big Ag including Monsanto and GE Foods, Big Oil & Gas & Frackers, Big Pharma, Big Timber, Big Development, Big nauseum. Investing in that is investing in your own demise.

If the people of the region don't want the oil company there, it should NOT be there. That's the bottom line.

Only local people decisions count, therefore oil companies should get out.
