not going to happen. maybe the muqawama, but not hezbollah as a whole.they do too much good. and germany is talking junk. german money along with money from the south america's golden triangle are the main source of muqawama money, not iran.

and the growing ties between chapo guzman and al muqawama should really be a concern. also of concern is the independence from nasrallah al muqawama is showing. it is something the world should be worried about.

They are so right. I'm not sure why it hasn't been labeled as such.

"The designation would thwart the organization's fundraising efforts in Europe, as well as freeze any assets members have there and ban them from traveling to the continent."

Absolutely. Their "jihadist" duties include spreading their brand of religion throughout the world. They are not shy about their ultimate aim and they are a clear and present danger to the rest of the world. Freezing their funding, preventing them from entering peaceful countries where they will also exercise their "jihadist" duties is simply common sense. They will be what they will be, but keeping them confined to the middle east is imperative. What they are willing to do, what they actually do is a cancer upon the earth and if you can't cure it, you can confine it. And so we, they in Europe, should. For the safety of their own people because jihad is not always a suicide bomber, sometimes it is just two fools killing another innocent person on a city street as happened in England this week. If our humanity prevents us from eradicating it, in the interest of religious freedom, and it does, then the next best thing we can do is confine it to the middle east. And be wary, sometimes this wolf wears sheep's clothing for a bit.

IF they say, why don't they do?

It should have been done; wasn't done; isn't going to get done. Europe is too afraid of upsetting their Muslim populations. America is too afraid of upsetting their Euro cousins. Stop sending money to these countries and stop allowing them political power at home. They are very good at using demographics and political understanding and application of American laws to their advantage. Look at the state Britain's in. Is that what we want for North America? Religion could disappear off the world stage but humans will always find a way to do evil.

It might be done now. The difference is that while Europeans may not consider attacks on Israel to be a problem, they do care about their pet-projects, like helping Syrians, as long as it holds their interest. That, and Israel is now putting together export-policies for its natural gas.

should have been done years ago. they are terrorists. muslims can't and won't live with others. they need to be isolated in muslim only countries and not be allowed out. move all muslims into the middle east and leave them there.

Thank you for the important post. All extremists should be labeled as terrorists, but not all Muslims are terrorists, and the same is true for fundamentalist Christians.

Hope this is the beginning of the end.......As Gene stated so eloquently, they must be contained. Perhaps, the time will come when the situation will change radically....but for now cut of their sources and contain them.

It's very good and overdue news. I hope they don't cave. Hezbolllah is a real scourge on many fronts, majorly involved in all sorts of lethal, illegal, troublemaking schemes, and now (of course it was earlier, too) that it is involved with murder. Nice people.....

I think the Europeans are finding that while cozying up to Islamic terrorist organizations might be a temporary path of least resistance, in the long run, terrorist organizations like Hezbollah are going to come back and bite them in the butt.

In a sense, this is not terribly different than quietly cheering on terrorist acts against Israel, only to find that the Sunnis and Shias become all too easily acclimated to solving every problem with violence, and then it comes back to Europe to roost. It's hard to get terrorist organizations to stop the bloodletting, once they've become addicted to the bloodlust, which they have in the extreme.

I agree very much with what Gene said, too.

Let's hope Europe follows through. That's a big hope....

France made wearing burkas and niqabs illegal. They of course do not enforce it, but when one French citizen tried to pull off a niqab off the face of a Muslima (because it was illegal for her to be wearing it), the French citizen was arrested. This is justice standing with its head in the ground.

The Europeans are pretty spineless, so I will try to follow this carefully to see if this is just more wind-bagging.

As others have said, this move is long overdue. Yes Patricia, " The Europeans are spineless, " and this is why a young British soldier was hacked to death in London.

Western Civilization would do good by sending the troublemakers home.
