Of 5,500 badgers to be shot during the pilot culls, only 120 will be independently monitored for humaneness, DEFRA has admitted.

animal welfare campaigner and author Jilly Cooper 'call off this of this disastrous badger cull which is going to be as brutal as it is useless,' before the first shot is fired.

NO first fire!

Noted, thanks Cal.

Words absolutely fail me - the savage vicious cruelty against these poor little animals can never be forgiven, not by me anyway. Heartless filthy rubbishes such as these need to be put up against a wall and used for target practice.

Enough people have petitioned against this especially Brian Mays one but it seems no one is taking any notice of what the public desires but it does not surprise me Last time I wrote to my local MP about Fox Hunting he just wrote back and said he did not believe in banning it as they were vermin I really felt like writing back and saying he was vermin! When this is the way politicians think what hope for the animals I hope whoever does this cull gets something horrible back

This government has NO intention of listening to the public, they have NO intention of calling off the badger cull. They are NOTHING but narrow-minded liars. They care nothing about animal welfare and they are so smug that you really want to wipe the smirks off their faces. Perhaps if they tasked the real offenders, the idle, indifferent farmers for their factory-farming methods where cattle are kept in dark, airless barns, pumped full of antibiotics, forcibly pregnated with the calves being torn from them after birth and milked far beyond humanely natural. Then, when spent, the cattle are shipped in filthy, stinking lorries to equally filthy, stinking slaughterhouses where they are abused mercilessly by ignorant, cruel workers. That's how TB is spread, but blame the badger, its easier to kill the badgers than to clean up a corrupt industry.

Persoannly, I rather they focus om te foxes in London, specifically Wimbledon, More accurately SW19. Every night they decide to yell at each other for an hour, and they are only 3 feet apart.
