Sorry, comment on wrong post. What reason would be for removing them? Seems like they should be allowed in a wildlife park / wildlife corridor.

Done. The article doesn't say why they're being evicted.

Among the oldest groups of humans on the planet. These people should be left alone. I wonder why they're in someone's way?

Why does everything on, above or below the earth (no matter the species) have to be "relocated", "culled", "deforested", etc. ... and that information only "leaked" to avoid full outcry of those who care?

Seems everything these days is done under cover, behind closed door, slid in with other news at the end of the day or late-hour mid-work week when no one is paying much attention.

We are now so "advanced" and "evolved" we are able to pull off just about anything ... and justify it (or try). Our own worst enemy, eventually self-destructing ... and well earned.

Thanks Cal. Where are they going to relocate these people. I have seen what relocation means before, a shantytown on the edge of nothing, no traditional live style soul destroying to a proud people. The bushmen life is their land, their family and their kindness to all things.

I Khama the president of Botswana initiated this move. The courts ruled in favour of the bushmen: government will not abide by the rulings of the justice system. Thats what power does to greedy politicians they become a law unto themselves. Displacement, heartache, treated like crap, what is it with all these leaders. They must have discovered something precious there bcos most of Botswana is dry barren land & if these natives survived all this time, whats the hurry to have them removed.

Noted and letter written. Court orders just thrown aside? Unheard off. These people should be left in peace.
I agree with Rethana VN, there must be some precious mineral or metal underneath their lands.

The 'Bushmen' are the oldest inhabitants of southern Africa, they have lived here for at least 20,000 years and are closest to the original humans

Laws manipulated or tossed aside altogether ... an everyday occurance, everywhere. Little by little, all the injustices heaped on the one family of man will connect and become our legacy, in ways large or small, through lack of interest, compassion, concern, whatever. Already out of hand and rapidly progressing on a daily basis. We've learned nothing ... the human species is truly dumbest of them all. Sad ...

yeah, where is the petition?
This is across the centuries/ globe method of evicting the people for one's own claim...Whites vs. Native Americans, Palestinians, Tibet. Making life incredibly miserable then taking over. Might makes right.
