Poor vultures they like wolves have a very bad press and suffer from ignorance and fear. However they play an important part in the eco system and should be protected.

Amazing birds, but I can understand while no one will ever want one for a pet.

If they do become extinct we will be in deep you-know-what, they clean everything up, & are amazing creatures, I learned all about them in the Everglades ranger meetings .

Vultures normally do not kill prey themselves but rather wait for a kill and then swoop in to reap the rewards ... much like the role of government these days, except vultures are an important defender of the ecosystem, unlike the detrimental role of government.

They are far from beautiful but are so terribly important as carrion removers..The towers of silence will become a little smelly without them.

I also learned all about these birds in the Everglades...they play a very important part in the ecosystem. I too think they are wonderful birds. Please help them.
