Excellent! Well done, grass-roots action making a positive difference in the world. Clean water should be a basic human right and indeed expectation. Without it disease and death soon follow.

Kudos to Kara - the world needs more young people like her... who are inspired, motivated and willing to make a positive difference - an amazing achievement worth calling 'heroic', in my book! Excellent story! Sending money to the 'child' she sponsored each month for nine years is pretty awesome, but going 'above and beyond' to raise $30K through fundraiser is a feat in itself - but, what the money was used for will change lives forever! Thanks for sharing this, Cal.

Bravo Kara Petrovic!

I can understand your feelings, Mary C. - but Kara has a right to select her cause. Maybe her next project will be on behalf of people here.
