I wonder whether they have any access to "alternative" therapies?

Noted. This is a sad situation for the people that really need it. For two years (prior to 2014) I was referred to a pan clinic who treated me with 60 mg of morphine X 3 daily and Oxycontin X 4-6 daily. One day I realized this was the same medication prescribed to end-stage cancer patients. My RN son told me to go back to my neurosurgeon and see a surgeon for my knees. Instead on continuing to treat the symptoms, I decided to treat the problem. I had my 4th lumbar fusion and both knees replaced in 2014. Thank God I don't take that medication any longer. .I feel so sorry for cancer patients that cannot get the medication they so desperately need. HUGS TO ALL WHO CARE FROM TEXAS

Noted. Big pharma may be playing a role here. Otherwise, I can't see the purpose/profit in torturing their own people...peace.

Terrible. Again, their fear of addictions by others hurts those truly in need. It would seem that if the patient has a Dr. that states the patient has cancer that should be the end of the dancing around that everyone must do. I've found a petition on this issue. Perhaps people can add their signature.
