Kelly & Melinda have warmed my heart....
PROOF that kindness no matter how small the gesture UNITES & Heals us!

i love this part of her quote;
"In spite of a few hateful, broken human beings in this world who can all too easily legally get their hands on mass assault weapons – people ARE kind. People DO care."

Thanx Cal

The compassion of the majority of people never ceases to amaze me...which overrides the cruelty of the minority. Thanx Cal.

It was an unforgettable moment for Omar's grandmother, certainly for Kelly and Melinda and for all passengers of that particular flight. It was a moment in which humanity, solidarity and love of neighbor, whoever may be, someone bring so often trapped inside us, worn out of cruelty, injustice and crimes committed daily, it can be laid out without any shame, without hesitation, only with the desire to share the pain of a grandmother who lost her grandson so stupidly. Congratulations on the wonderful initiative of Kelly and Melinda. More people in the world can look at them and follow their example.

Magnificent! What a beautiful idea, what an incredible reaction. Love will & does triumph ...

if only we can get rid of the violent haters! How to neutralize those individuals who, though a minority, are capable of doing so much harm, BEFORE they start killing? I'm thinking not only of the homophobic killer in Orlando, but the neo-nazi, white supremacist assassin who murdered 41-yr-old MP (member of Parliament) Jo Cox in Yorkshire. So much grief, pain & suffering! So many young lives, beautiful people mowed down... How not to remember all the Paris concert-goers mowed down at the Bataclan last November, as well as those enjoying an evening out at the sidewalk cafés the same night? All those killed are unique and irreplaceable, at least to their families and friends!

As the author writes in her beautiful piece, "People DO care." ...despite "a few hateful, broken human beings in this world who can all too easily legally get their hands on mass assault weapons."

When will the ban on them & large-capacity magazines be finally reinstated?

It will not bring him back but every kind word and gesture makes carrying this heavy heart the grandmother is carrying a little easier. It will help restore her faith in the human family that one member in his anger and hate might of destroyed.
