At first I thought you had Debbie Reynolds confused with her daughter Carrie Fisher, but she went the day afterwards. Omg is correct!

Debbie Reynolds wrote on her FB page

“Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter,” she wrote. “I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother.”

After just an hour, the post had over 70,000 likes and more than 10,000 comments from fans sending their love to Reynolds after the loss of her child.

It’s understood Reynolds has been distraught since Fisher died on Tuesday morning...

"Reynolds and Fisher were close over the past few years but in a 2011 joint interview with Oprah, Fisher revealed, “We had a fairly volatile relationship earlier on in my 20s.”
“I didn’t want to be around her,” she said, “I did not want to be Debbie Reynolds’ daughter.”

Reynolds responded by saying:
“It’s very hard when your child doesn’t want to talk to you and you want to talk to them, and you want to touch them, you want to hold them.
“It was a total estrangement. She didn’t talk to me for probably 10 years. So that was the most difficult time of all. Very painful, very heartbreaking.”

❤️Noted...So very sad, a parent never expects to bury their child and it was too much for Debbie. I loved her in How the West was Won. God Speed Debbie as you travel to the next plain. May you rest in internal peace together.❤️

❤️Thank you kindly Cal❤️

I send blessings and prayers to Todd and to Billie Lourd on the death of Debbie and Carrie. It's never easy losing a loved one and to have two pass so close together is doubly hard. I believe both are together and at peace. I hope happy memories of past days will help sustain them in their time of grief.

Winn you expressed what I was feeling so beautifully. May Todd and Billie Lourd be blessed with comfort and peace. Losing a mother, a mother and grandmother is all too much to bear. May they find joy in their memories.

Blessed be, Debbie, and Carrie too. Together again. Death is only a tragedy to those of us who remain, it is a joyous event to those who are home again. That isn't meant to be a paean, it is a truth I know deeply and believe fully. They wrote us all a beautiful letter in the living of their lives, for that we love and remember them and share our love with their families in their time of sorrow.

I was a little girl when I saw Tammy and the Bachelor with my mother in the theater when it first came out. I loved it and her and the song. I can still hear her sing that. It's so sad that she had to suffer even that one day of Carrie's death and so sad for Todd's double loss. Someone back then came out with a doll "Tammy" and my mother gave me one. I also had a Debbie Reynolds doll and I think I still have her in a box somewhere.
Thanks for sharing this Cal. Noted.

Loved her movies. So tragic that she died right after her daughter, Carrie. Seen so many people close to their wives husbands and other relatives, that when the one dies, the other wants to be with them, just like Debbie wanting to be with Carrie. R. I. P. Debbie and Carrie. Thanks Cal
