A century-long war to remove lead from AmericansâEUR(TM) daily lives has been successful on some fronts, but a lack of regulation, political will and funding has meant the contamination of drinking water remains a public health crisis.

Despicable to keep reading this dreadful crap about toxic lead in the bloody pipes. We pay taxes for the schools to take care of things like this. Why aren't they doing it?? We need a petition.

Whatever happened to the US Clean Water Act to protect public water? The EPA website says "EPA enforces requirements under the Clean Water Act (CWA) and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)", but yet there is no federal requirement for schools to test for lead in their water!. How ridiculous. Thankyou Cal.
