No surprise there. Almost everything the former Harper regime did to get their beloved pipelines approved was immoral, if not illegal.

Wonderful and we must thank the First Nations people for standing their ground and fighting back so hard. We can all learn from them.

As Michael O said, the decision to not consult with First Nations was a product of the Harper government which virtually ignored First Nations issues. We still have a long way to go, but under PM Trudeau there is some hope.

Yesterday at the Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill, there was a First Nations smudging ceremony involving the PM and the Governor General (not sure if others involved) for the first time. May this continue and grow!

LEAVE ALL FILTHY FOSSIL FUELS IN THE GROUND. FOREVER.
To avert Climate CATASTROPHE due to Rapid Global Warming.
Leave the OIL IN THE SOIL;
Leave the COAL IN THE HOLE;
Leave the TAR SANDS IN THE LAND.
And NO FRACKING ANYWHERE, EVER!
This must be Environmentalists' MANTRA:
LEAVE IT IN THE GROUND.

STOP THE *SUICIDE ECONOMY*
of GLOBAL CORPORATE CAPITALISM.

WE MUST STOP the CONSTANT EXPANSION of Global Corporate Capitalism,
that needs to Constantly Grow and Extract Every Single Extractable Resource on the Planet, regardless of what else is harmed,
in its quest for OBSCENE PRIVATE PROFIT$$$$$ OF A VERY, VERY, VERY FEW.

The First Nations and Aboriginal people in Canada, in the U.S., and ALL OVER THE PLANET, are ON THE FRONT LINES fighting OUR Battles for US - THEIR Battles are OUR Battles, for a Healthy Environment, for our Children and Grandchildren, for all the Animals, and for A SUSTAINABLE PLANETARY LIFE-SUPPORT SYSTEM. If the Global Corporations are allowed to over-ride the First Nations, THEY WILL COME FOR US NEXT.
Global Capitalism MUST BE STOPPED - and the First Nations Courageous Principled Resistance MUST BE SUPPORTED WITH ALL WE'VE GOT!!!!!
