A British firm is offering expectant parents a 3D printed model of their unborn child. Would you want one?

Wow, yes i would have had one 35 years ago if they were available then, would be something incredible to show your child as they grow up.

It's an interesting concept, isn't it? Thanks for the article, Tamar.

That's creepy. Rest assured as soon as the technology is cheap enough, the right to lifers will insist on such a printing if a woman wants an abortion, of course, that is assuming they are still legal and available at that time.

The only reason I can think of for wanting one would be if your significant other subsequently beats you up and causes you to miscarry, the model would be something to have services for so you could get closure. Morbid? Probably, since I think the whole idea is morbid.

No, not really. I'll wait for the child to be born. I agree with Janet on this one.

Now watch the anti-choice bums jump all over this.

I copy isn't the same as the real thing so I'd probably say no, I would not want a 3D copy of my unborn baby. Even back 28 years ago, when the doctor showed me the sonogram of my unborn baby, he said that he was 92% sure it was a boy. But, I looked at the sonogram and just could not see anything other than light areas and dark areas. I just pretended that I could see what he was seeing.
