I haven't seen Justin around for a while, Ros - hope he hasn't been slammed ....

Sam - another interesting read.
Hamas - "defining itself more within the framework of Palestinian nationalism" - something the Islamophobes fail to understand.

It does rather confuse official narratives when ISIS attacks Hamas .... After all - one can't really come out up front with what is probably Hamas' greatest "crime" in the eyes of ISIS - their expressed willingness to recognise Israel providing Israel recognised Palestine within the 1967 borders

("In March 2006, Hamas released its official legislative program. The document clearly signaled that Hamas could refer the issue of recognizing Israel to a national referendum. Under the heading "Recognition of Israel," it stated simply (AFP, 3/11/06): "The question of recognizing Israel is not the jurisdiction of one faction, nor the government, but a decision for the Palestinian people." This was a major shift away from their 1988 charter.[86] A few months later, via University of Maryland's Jerome Segal, the group sent a letter to U.S. President George W. Bush stating they "don't mind having a Palestinian state in the 1967 borders", and asked for direct negotiations: "Segal emphasized that a state within the 1967 borders and a truce for many years could be considered Hamas' de facto recognition of Israel."[87] -

Pro-Zionist rhetoric reverts always to the 1988 "Charter" or "Convention" of the Hamas movement - never actually adopted by the political party of Hamas ..... this document being rhetorical appeal fitting the attitudes of the time. This diverts attention from a number of more recent position statements of Hamas that undermine reasons for marginalising the political party. Some political analysts draw interesting parallels between this 1988 charter and the 2006 Likkud Constitution - another document high in Zionist rhetoric (for much the same reason).

So - ISIS has "reason" to attack Hamas .... and probably hopes to mobilise support among those in Gaza who want to see an end to their intolerable situation, see little hope of Hamas getting them out of it - and equally have little faith in the PA's capacity & will to help people in Gaza. (The fact that the PA has failed to pay the salaries of government workers such as teachers, health workers etc who were appointed after Hamas was elected does little to build any trust in today's PA ... and they suspect that there is still the corruption that was rife, which led to Hamas winning electoral support in Gaza .)

However, ISIS may be over-estimating their credibility with the people of Gaza ...

You're right, Ros - She keeps trying (& trying Care2 Admin's patience, too, I suspect!!)

And I also thought about the "wait" message ...wait until the grid is so tight?? Or wait ... and wait again .... and again.
And meanwhile an excuse can be triggered for another offensive ("defensive", of course!) ??

"Shani" - we are aware of your aim, as you say "we're sworn to annihilate you" ... Just a little surprised that you admit it so openly. I gather that you support the position that the annexed territories are truly part of Israel, no room for Palestine with an Israel within 1967 borders ....

ISIS represents the pure and true Islam, and Islam is teaching about Caliphate. As such, any nationalism, be it from Palestinian Arabs or from Al-Queda, is un-Islamic, and deserves to be exterminated in ISIS eyes.

isis is the new reality. but wait guys. on the deep web it seems that isis/israel will prioritize getting a foothold in northern sinai. remember, the whole plan is to kill as many hamas as possible. they must secure that border first or hamas will slip out that way. the attacks on egypt will continue and soon egypt will back away from that border and then you will see all things hamas going kaboom. please do not forget that the widows are in gaza city, and please do not forget that isis has already infiltrated hamas.
after this last time baghdadi was almost killed the zionist have started demanding isis move on hamas. cause if baghdadi dies isis stops existing. and big brother zionist has put too much time and effort into this to be allowing the accident prone baghdadi to ruin their plans. if egypt doesn't get the message after yesterdays attack they soon will. and then the widows will take center stage.

Justin Vale (13)

once again for those that are blind, deaf and dumb. zionism and fundamental islam are birds of a feather. and sharia law and talmudic law are the same difference. well except for the pedophilia. sharia law does not condone it as much as talmudic law.
and BTW, i'm not gonna say i told you so. i will wait until the first mass grave of hamas headless corpses pops up. and then i'm rubbing it in.

Justin Vale (13)

it's nice to be missed. but i can't get online much now that i'm away. using tor but i must be careful.
when palestinian mothers started sending their children towards isis lines in yarmouk i knew right there hamas and fatah are doomed. when i learned palestinian mothers and children are buying into baghdadi's dream of moving them to the islamic state i knew it would only be a matter of time before big daddy baghdadi came to their rescue. and contrary to what many think, palestinian women and children have much more to fear from their own menfolk than from israel.
once again: isis is the new reality, get with the program.

yep, that's right. in the sinai. and in gaza is saddam's old guard. it's a vise. hamas should have left when they had the chance. now they're trapped. and there is no hiding in schools and hospitals from isis.

Justin - relieved to see you around! Ros felt this was a story you'd want to comment on, your absence was felt! There's something to what you say here! Although I can't go along with all your ideas ...

I find it fascinating how those who hate blindly are so convinced that they know what is "true" Islam. At least, what they see to be such through closed eyes and minds. Wafa Sultan is an equivalent to Gilad Atzmon - Islamophobic just as Atzmon is Anti-Semitic ... swung to the opposite extreme of hate. And even Sultan cannot distinguish between culture and religion. She is sincere, but she has listened to the fears of the Islamophobic ... as she says "I hear everywhere that Muslims want ...." But not from Muslims themselves. And the Syria that she refers to is Baathist Syria (which does NOT promote Islam, Baathism is a secular ideology).

Proof that Israel and Isis are on the same side, just because they both want to destroy Hamas? I wouldn't go further than to say things are terribly complicated in the region, even for people living there. Those that are friends today simply because they are the enemy of my enemy, may be enemies tomorrow, because they've become friends with one of my other enemies.

Past Member (0)

Interesting to see people unable to differentiate between a culture (specific to a place and ethnicity), an ideology (Baathism) and a religion (Islam).

Presenting cultural norms developed under Baathism as Islam is wrong, because that is not what Islam really is.

ISIS is the one presenting pure Islam, and for this very reason it kills any Muslims of any movements refusing to recognize Universal Caliphate as infidels.

Indeed, such Muslims can be called infidels because they renege on the acceptance of states borders and do not promote the Caliphate, as required by true Islam.

Sam H (410)
Wednesday July 1, 2015, 10:03 am
Given that both Israel and ISIS are hell-bent on destroying Hamas, comparing the two is like comparing evil with evil.

The intent of destruction is there. The only differentiating aspect is the extent of devastation they're able to inflict on Hamas.

The evidence of destruction they leave behind is enough to rank the extent of their respective evilness.

Evelyn B (63)
Wednesday July 1, 2015, 10:52 am
Yes, Sam - basically, neither are truly about religion (despite labels & manipulation) - both are about power ... politics. And both don't care how many of their opponents are hurt in the process. For the moment, ISIS doesn't even try to hide its cruelty & killing strategy (much as Haganah, Irgun, Stern Gang at another time, it's the fear generated that increases their power) - and that is the main difference at present, because the Zionist extremists & supporters of Israel's right wing policies & strategies will go a long way to discourage any recognition of abuse of rights, damage by extremists etc ....

Beth S (330)
Wednesday July 1, 2015, 11:25 am
I see a whole lot of people who look like they're not taking their meds.

ISIS believes that every Jew in the world must be destroyed, including children. In fact, most brands of Islam believe the same thing, under the Mahdi (Islamic messiah figure) can come.

That's why so many Muslims keep shooting pregnant Jewish women. It's a two-for, And then they get to go up to Paradise and have sex with renewing virginal houris.

Evelyn B (63)
Wednesday July 1, 2015, 12:08 pm
How strange - the only T-shirts I've seen that promote killing 2 with one bullet (with a picture of a pregnant woman in the cross-hairs) have the text in Hebrew ... and the women in traditional Palestinian dress ...

However, I would never promote the belief that all, or even many, Jews go around shooting pregnant Palestinian women .... Only some of the hotheads ....

And I hardly think it likely that ISIS produced those T-Shirts
But the risk is that in the future some ISIS hotheads take a leaf out of IDF soldiers' book ....

If ISIS believes every Jew in the world must be destroyed - and if that is their real aim - they must be incredibly stupid, since they are hitting Muslims (& not only Shia), Christians, Yezidis ... not many Jews among those they've been killing ..... Unfortunately, I think their leaders ar far from stupid, and their real interests are whatever will provide them with more power. Nothing really to do with religion ... anymore than political Zionism truly reflects values, ethics & principles of Judaism ....

if you guy were running the country we would be screwed. sammy states that isis kills children. they don't. if a 14 year old is shooting at me? trust me, i'm shooting at him. if you were to take all the children the coalition has killed with their murderous airstrikes it would dwarf the number of children killed by both israel and isis. if baghdadi lives to be 1000 and kahlon lives t be 2000, they would never killl the amount of children obama has killed with his airstrikes. the worlds greatest killer of children is obama.

Justin Vale (13)

by the looks at the above comments not one of you understands isis. and it's a shame, cause it isn't that hard. you guys are lucky you live in a country where many people think like me. and it is our frame of mind and our understanding that will eventually beat isis. they don't kill kids, it's all lies. the killer is obama and his misogynist allies that are killing children. but go ahead. point fingers at israel and isis. you're just like the idiot in the white house that opened pandora's box. he points fingers at isis and launch's accusations on israel and isis but reserves the right to kill children himself.

Justin Vale (13)

isis doesn't kill children, she nourishes them. and you know why? cause twenty years from now if baghdadi isn't killed the children of isis will be beheading your children. baghdadi is waging war against mankind. not against women and children. he's a straight up and down killer. not a coward like obama.

How would YOU know about skin changing, Marganit? Do you think that might have been applying to you? As you are new here as of yesterday, according to your profile ..... Although I must admit, your tone addressing Ros doesn't sound like you are as new as your profile suggests ......

And I maintain that this article, one of Sam's posts, has triggered an active response ("got under the skin of") by a group that doesn't like or agree with Sam's opinions on the Middle East.
