The Israeli government kill innocent civilians in a land they have occupied for years. Then they play the anti-semitic card when they are boycotted.

Yay! I read the great news when it broke, thanks for posting Sam!
It IS a major victory and even in a sense more valuable, following the Orange flop! Another proof how well BDS is working and all of us had their modest but devoted part in this!
If it's not always for ideological reasons, it's business that eventually forces a logical and right decision! IN THE END THE RESULT COUNTS!
Zionists in the US congress can sneak in all the amendments to trade bills they want, it is NOT working like they want it to.

Apparently, the other shareholders approached Veoila and offered to buy them out, which they agreed to. Presumably - though they denied it - as a result of he harassment and intimidation of BDS

I don't know the figures, but I'm assuming the other shareholders bought the shares for a song and will make a packet from them

A 'victory'? A victory for bullying and intimidation maybe.

Though the real victory is that unlike the SodaStream debacle (which left 900 Palestinians unemployed, and they and their families destitute) in this case nobody lost their job.

Then you should be celebrating, John, since you got the whole company for a song!

Like always, you don't know the figures and facts, but you're ready to reach a conclusion based on the hatred you have in your heart for the Palestinians and all those who support their cause throughout the world.

Carry on, John, don't let me interrupt your celebration!

Sam: For your information I got my information from the Veoila website, which maybe you should have done instead of feeding off your usual unreliable hate sources.

Hatred for the Palestinians? You're the one fuelling the hate that perpetuates the cycle of violence and bloodshed, that causes Palestinians to be killed and injured, that keeps them unemployed and destitute, and without hope.

There could be peace tomorrow were it not for people like you, on both sides.

You just can’t stop lying, John!

“I don't know the figures, but I'm assuming the other shareholders bought the shares for a song…”

Was it the Veoila website that told you they sold their shares “for a song”?

Sam H (410)
Wednesday September 2, 2015, 10:43 am
No, John, it's you who keep killing the Palestinians and claim to want peace! Get out of their land and there will be peace. It's that simple.

But how can you get a Zionist to want peace?

The Middle East is the cradle of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and the religions 'of the flame'.
Islam was the last one in. Indeed there was an established Jewish community in Medina over 500 hundred years before Mohammed turned up.

I have made my position very clear - a viable two nation solution with investment to create jobs and economic prosperity for the Palestinians.

Thanks for making your position clear. Ethnic cleansing (of Israelis) Is that dead or alive as a matter of interest?
And what about the majority of Israeli Arabs who have stated in numerous studies that they'd prefer to live in Israel, as Israelis, under Israeli governance, than under the rule of the PA, what would you do them? A bullet in the back of the head?

If you think Hamas are so great, why not emigrate to Gaza City - I'm sure they'd love to have you. And you could return the property in New Jersey you're squatting on to the Native Americans it was stolen from.

Veolia has tens of subsidiaries and WILL keep on investing in Israel, one way or another...

Re SodaStream

Go to
http://www.shalomlife.com/business/25438/op-ed-bds-victory-over-sodastream-may-equal-900-palestinians-out-of-work/

Read what Palestinians who actually worked at the factory have to say about BDS and how their employment at the factory brought about a transformation in their lives and created peace and harmony.

Lets have no foul language, Angelika. And lets have none of your Pallywood fibs either.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/10610343/We-need-1000-SodaStreams-around-here.html

Angelika R (143)
Thursday September 3, 2015, 9:15 am
John, if you think "BS" is foul language, I take that back, sorry. 'Lyiing' is quite sufficient. But you should also call out your zionist friends who frequently throw around nasty language, mostly at other members!

"My Pallywood fibs"?? Tell that Yahoo news!

"SodaStream employed up to 600 Palestinians at the West Bank factory and sought to transfer their jobs to the Israeli plant. But Birnbaum said Israel has granted only 130 work permits so far due to security issues. Many likely will lose their jobs."

Angelika R (143)
Thursday September 3, 2015, 9:36 am
If you turn a 6 on its head it becomes a 9, perhaps the zionist editors need to stop reading numbers upside down. Both of your links lead to old reports of last year, and even Britain's most conservative/ right-wing paper Telegraph mentions only 500 Palestinian employees.

Gillian M (11)

The BDS is affecting the Palestinians far more than Israel. An example is SodaStream where the Palestinians were well treated and encouraged to join. But according to you lot that's fine if they lose their jobs and have no income.

BDS is actually racist/anti-Semitic but then that's OK too. In other words, it is acceptable for you to be racist.

If you read the Telegraph article you'll see that the number of employees was 500 Palestinians from the PA controlled part of the West Bank, 450 from the Israeli controlled part = 950. Plus 350 Israeli Jews.

It also mentions - and how the workers remark the same - that when the politicians and haters are out of the picture, all people get along just fine, in a spirit of peace and friendship.

Angelika R (143)
Friday September 4, 2015, 4:53 am
:-// No sense in discussing with zionist supporters. They'll always twist facts to suit their agenda.
Its 450 (Arab) ISRAELI employees, obviously from Israel proper. Unlikely or less likely to get fired than the 500(600 accord. to the CEO) Palestinians.
"the Israeli controlled part"(of the West Bank) are the illegal jewish colonies which have no Arabs living there.
Your Shalomlive opinion piece remains a propaganda lie. .
End of discussion!

But this truth remains: the peace haters in the Israeli govt.(and some in society) need to get out of the picture, ASAP! - so do any corrupt elements sucking up to Israeli leaders within the PA.

Makes you wonder about the agenda of people who cannot stomach the prospect of Jew and Arab peacefully working and co-existing together, in a spirit of friendship and harmony.
It seems these people would prefer the status quo of violence and hate.

The Daily Telegraph reporter visited the factory in person, established the facts and figures at first hand, and spoke freely with the staff.

The factory at Maale Adumim is situated to the east of Jerusalem.

500 Palestinians from the PA controlled West Bank, 450 Palestinians from the Israeli controlled West Bank and 350 Jews. All working together happily and in friendship.
Even when the Gaza Conflict was going on, everything was fine at the factory, no discord, no arguments.

"Even when the Gaza Conflict was going on, everything was fine at the factory, no discord, no arguments."

Here's one example how fine things were during the Gaza massaker:
Israel’s Sodastream Fires 60 Palestinians in Ramadan Dispute

“SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum proudly presents the plant as an oasis of coexistence between peoples, but the reality is very different,” WAC-Maan Jerusalem coordinator Erez Wagner claimed."

If Israel doesn't kill them, it attempts to nearly starve them as it has in Gaza since 2007.

Angelika,

Birnbaum is a bigger liar than John, if you can believe that! They both try to hide their evil intentions and pretend to want peace. People interested in peace don’t KILL Palestinians, OCCUPY their land, DEMOLISH their home, UPROOT their trees and STEAL their resources!

Birnbaum even lies about why the price of SodaStream Stock price keeps heading south. His latest ploy to cover the poor performance of SodaStream is to blame it on anti-Semitism which, according to him, drives the BDS movement. Then he says that the BDS movement has a negligible effect on his company! How can we believe both?

It seems SidaStream needs a new CEO the same way Israel needs a new prime minister—one that tells the truth!

UNHEALTHY and IMMORAL! That IS SodaStream!

The factory provides income to hundreds of families, entire villages. Peace is what happens here inside ... Those who are abroad don't understand the relations and actually sabotage the process.
