Do you like Twitter or Facebook? Are they waste of time? This animated video gives some good insight.

It all depends on how they're used, of course. Sharing of information/political usage = good. Farmville and bad grammar hash tags = not so much.

As most social network's they are corrupt, and MOSTLY serve as outlets for an epidemic known as Narcissistic personality disorder. i.e look see how many fake friends I have.

I think social network sites such as Twitter & Facebook are wonderful sites if used correctly. I love going to both sites to post about animals in need. I've seen alot of good come from both of these sites.

It is the paradox of the 21st century, as we become more and more technologically advanced, we seem to have less and less quality time!

I tried twitter, but couldn't see any point to it. Facebook is all right to keep in touch

Does anyone really need to hear the asinine ramblings of over-hyped celebrities?

I don't use Twitter or Facebook. I'm sure they can be useful, but it depends on what's being posted. News & issues awareness is fine, but the musings of self-absorbed, superficial people? No!

I consider Twatter and Farcebook to be walking security violations and don't use either.

Frank S. says: "It is the paradox of the 21st century that as we become more and more technologically advanced, we seem to have less and less quality time!" YES, Frank, and isn't it even more paradoxical that most every bit of that new technology touts itself as a TIME-SAVER!

Apparently what nobody thought of, or noticed till it was too late, is that when you have a competitive society and you offer ways to get things done faster, you DON'T do the same set of stuff faster and therefore end up with more quality time.... you simply add MANY MORE THINGS to your set of tasks and therefore end up with less and less quality time! In a competitive society, where everyone is urged and seduced to "get the jump on the next guy or be left in the dust," naturally every human is simply going to fill every available operating envelope to the brim.

Thus, "timesaving technology," though certainly useful and even miraculous in specific instances, is absolutely destined to drive us all bloody f**king mad. That's certainly why I'M not on Twitter, or even Facebook... I'm crazy enough already.

PS: Here's another swell paradox: Have ya noticed how, as more and more electronic communications technology is introduced into our lives, the less actual face-to-face "people skills" we have?

PS: There's a really COOL and pretty hilarious animated short on YouTube called, I think, "The Twouble with Twitters." You should check it out! Cheers.
