What shall Mrs Aung San Suu Kyi be able to do, now, REALLY? I fear this announcement is just a farce, especially created by the local government for the sole purpose of giving a "bone" to the international media (when I give a big bone to my bitch Quinnie, it's usually to calm her and prevent her from doing big damage in the house...)
I fear Mrs Aung San Suu Kyi may be free to go,but only to innocent places such as her local grocery shop or anything similar.

Will she be allowed to organise public meetings and speeches?
To create a web site for her party?
To speak on television?

If the anwser to the three questions above is "yes" then, I would be happy because this would mean I was wrong saying that...

Good points Sylvie, but I am sure no matter what they want her to do, she'll end up doing what her heart tells her and if that gets her under house arrest again then the focus on their human rights abuses gets even clearer.

Use this to shine a light on ALL political prisoners and all wrongs.

Use this to promote freedom. It will only serve their purpose if we all go silent and if we feed their negative energy.

And we know that's not in the cards. We will spread awareness. We will spread positive energy. We will stand for what is right. We WILL change things for the better.

Peace

About bloody time! And how do we tell if the government of Myanmar is lying or using her for good publicity to accomplish political ends? I celebrate all the same. even a taste of freedom must be sweet, after all these years.
