The agency did no real assessment of the harm that GE alfalfa could do, and caved to pressure from big agribusiness to approve this genetically engineered crop before the spring planting season. Obama is the last line of defense, and can stop it.

We are slowly killing ourselves and our planet - money won't be worth anything even to Monsanto if we are all dead. Signed and noted.

Short sighted is the way of everything about the U.S. corporate world today. Greed has over powered all reasoning and logic. The people at Monsanto should be in prison , not taking control of our food supply...this is madness at it's peek when it comes to our food.

Thanks everyone, and keep the faith that things will change.

Stay positive, stay aware, stay vocal.

BTW, looks like Whole Foods and some others are selling out to Monsanto which obviously isn't a good thing, but it gives us an opportunity for even more people to wake up and demand change.

This is really bad news. Not only will organic produce lose integrity but, even non-organic crops will be endangered. Monsanto does not care; it is a non-human entity which only sees short-term bottom-line as important. Quite myopic, actually, as eventually it will destroy itself as well (the corp is still run by humans, for humans and can not exist without us).
