The five little homeless puppies on picture here died by heart-stick at Clayton County Animal Control, GA. Overpopulation of pets is a myth an excuse which is supported by many uncaring shelters only to explain the massive euthanasia rates.

geogia isn't a very peachy place.
animal advocates always wanna ban stuff but never can come up with solutions that don't include spending tax payer money need for schools and roads on an animal that they are the cause it's over breeding in the first place.
it's your problem, but you're dumping it on our laps by dumping it in tax payer funded animal shelters.
i'm sure georgia is doing the best they can. they don't need us slapping them in the face with petitions while they worry about where they're gonna get their next buck.
i'm just saying. people that put animals down in shelters are animal lovers, they're not butchers. they gotta do what they gotta do. georgia is not the one causing the problem.

Justin, WE WILL NEVER EVOLVE INTO SOMETHING BETTER IF KILLING IS OUR OPTION FOR EVERYTHING.

I believe that seven billion people also make very large crowd, and even the world really can’t support such numbers we don't kill them.

Now, if we think logically about animal overpopulation, kill pounds make excuses instead of change. You cannot say that NO KILL is "impossible", especially since the number of NO KILL communities in the USA is growing rapidly. NO KILL policy reduces costs associated with killing, NO KILL is only humane, sustainable, cost-effective model that works hand in hand with public good, and soon it will be increasingly difficult for this old catch-and-kill "shelters" to justify their actions.

PLEASE, stop telling that we’re killing millions of living beings because we have no choice. We have choice - we have free will. PLEASE, examine your beliefs and embrace life-loving values - the compassionate, cost-effective alternatives to killing.
Thank you!

I lived in GA briefly some years ago, but had no idea that this practice was extant. It is barbaric and unacceptable.

I really struggle with what kind of person can look at a scene like the one in the picture, and then put them all down. I know they are workers, but... I just have to question , what kind of person can bring themselves to do it. I can understand a severely injured animal who is suffering, or very very old ....I can wrap my brain around that. I did make the decision to put down my own pets when they were old and I figured their life was one long misery of pain. And even then, given it was a liberation for them, I really struggled hard.
Just thinking out loud here...

Signed and deeply shocked. How can they make those animals suffer. Those people should be euthanized but how can you put a stick in somebody's heart if there is no heart

If WE have to murder thousands and thousands of cats and dogs every day of every week of every year, WE owe them the dignity, the compassion the integrity and the empathy of a peaceful death. We do NOT have the right to make innocent, voiceless animals suffer unnecessary. They are unwanted through OUR fault, OUR lack of commitment, OUR indifference and ignorance. Spay and neuter, adopt, don't buy.

Noted and signed - how savage are we - these poor animals don't deserve to die like this - we are so to blame and we will have to answer for it one day. Let that day come soon!
