CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A deer whose head was stuck in a plastic Halloween jack-o'-lantern for nearly a week has freed itself and will be fine, animal rescuers said Saturday.

THANKS FOR THE GREAT STORY SOMETIMES DEER HAVE A WAY OF GETTING THEM SELVES INTO SOME VERY AWKWARD PLACES. THEY SEEM TO BE INQUISATIVE ABOUT EVERYTHING. THEY SAY CATS HAVE NINE LIVES I WONDER HOW MANY DEER HAVE.

Plastic sure has caused a lot of trouble since it was created. Not only are they now finding out how hazardous it can be to humans, but wildlife, both on earth and in the sea have been suffering its effects for a long time now.

P.S. - Speaking of plastic products - read another item on Care2 - 'Killer Crocs Released by Rangers ....'

One of the crocs named 'Whitey' was relocated to a place where he found and ate twenty-five plastic bags and of course, died.
