A family of 3 young Muslims has been shot dead in their home in a quiet neighbourhood of North Carolina.âEURoeWe understand the concerns about the possibility that this was hate-motivated and we will exhaust every lead to determine if that is the the case"

No matter how evil and cruel ISIL, Al Qaeda, etc. are, there is zero justification for this horror.

Last summer, Yusor went as a volunteer to provide dental care in Syrian refugee camps in Turkey ...

This kind of person - wiped out by one crazy gun-loving gun-toting hater :^(

Sadly, there are bound to be umpteen incidents like this, and probably many more. People seem unable not to react out of fear and violence and revenge.

I am so very sad for them and for their family and friends - how unbearably awful. They had such promise and such goodness in them - and their cowardly murderer did not.

I saw it on a news web site, so it is making news here. The perpetrator appears to be an atheist. If he chooses to not believe, fine... targeting someone BECAUSE they believe, however, is not fine.

The killer seems to have been an "equal opportunity hater." No one in the complex was comfortable around him; HOA meetings discussed him. Nonetheless, I personally feel confident it was a hate crime, if for no other reason than the "execution-style" nature of the shots.

If it was 2 Cristian families it would be accepted it was over parking many many horrendous road rage crimes but of course this Muslim family must jump on the band wagon and play on their religion it is so common in UK any argument it is always "Its because we are Muslim " so many people are tired you never hear any other religion winging like this Every time At least get rid of the IF word lets get firm facts

I doubt people would "accept" happily that it was over parking, whatever the religion ... Do you really think arguments over parking are a justification? And it certainly wasn't during a dispute ... he went looking for them. You don't think that there was hate in his heart when he armed himself & went out? And had they been Jews, nobody would even question the anti-semitic label.

IF you were to watch the interviews with the family, Marie, you would see there's no "jumping on the bandwagon" by the family - I assume (and hope) that you don't dismiss the trauma that the families (and friends) are going through, when you use such dismissive terms?
